Embassy Suites by Hilton West Palm Beach Central

As with many Embassy Suites locations, the striking feature of this property is its sweeping atrium -- the entire interior opens to four levels of glass windows with clusters of greenery, potted plants, and fountains. Red lights hang from the ceiling, and there are numerous seating areas -- blue armchairs and large couches -- throughout the space. The restaurant is open and bright, with a circular bar and leather stools taking center stage, and plenty of space between the tables and buffet areas. All corners of the restaurant and lobby receive lots of natural light from the many curved windows. The lobby and common areas are usually busy, and the hotel tries to create a communal vibe with events like free evening cocktail receptions. Overall, most aspects of this hotel have a distinctly corporate vibe, which makes sense as the majority of guests here are business travelers or commuters with early or late flights at the airport. 

This hotel is located on Belvedere Road, a fairly busy street surrounded by office buildings, gas stations, car rental offices, and fast-food restaurants. The main perk here is the hotel's proximity to Palm Beach International Airport, which is only a five-minute drive or shuttle ride from the hotel. Downtown West Palm Beach is less than a 10-minute drive from the hotel, and the actual beach takes about 12 minutes to reach by car. The hotel is two minutes from Highway 95, offering easy access to surrounding areas. 

The 192 rooms at the Embassy Suites by Hilton West Palm Beach-Central are modern and spacious. All are suites with separate living areas that include sofa beds, coffee tables, armchairs, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, and work desks with rolling chairs. The look is pretty standard for the brand, with a simple corporate style defined by burgundy carpets, dark plush couches and chairs, and dark wood furniture with high-end accents like granite countertops. Light beige walls are hung with vibrant undersea photographs and each unit has free Wi-Fi and two flat-screen TVs -- one at the foot of the beds in the bedrooms and the other in the living areas. A few units have balconies, but all have large windows. Bathrooms are large, with long granite countertops and shower/tub combos. Be aware that rooms near the elevators can get noisy with the sound of guests coming and going, and some guests have reported poor water pressure on higher floors.

This Embassy Suites serves a free buffet breakfast with a made-to-order egg station plus a nice selection of other offerings. Other freebies include a free happy hour every evening. There is a restaurant for lunch and dinner, along with room service, and the bar serves snacks and cocktails. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from Palm Beach International Airport, and parking and Wi-Fi  are also free for guests. Other on-site perks include a large outdoor pool and a space fitness center with a large selection of cardio equipment as well as modern weight machines and free weights. There are also outdoor tennis courts. The hotel is constantly busy with business travelers in large part due to the meeting and convention rooms that are located on the lower level and include ballrooms and spaces equipped for a variety of functions. There's also a business center, a gift shop, and coin-operated laundry.
