Scene
Family-friendly time-share resort with indoor and outdoor pools
Built in the early 2000s, this gated community is a maze of
two-story apartment buildings with 303 well-maintained time-share suites and a host of resort-style amenities. Family-friendly
perks include a spacious outdoor pool with a kiddy pool and neighboring
playground, an indoor lap pool with a hot tub, and multiple sports courts. The grounds are charming but lack the
grandiose landscaping of some other resorts in the area. The hotel artwork is mostly generic and some
of the furniture could use updating, but rooms are cozy overall. The resort has
no on-site dining, but dozens of restaurants and a grocery store are less than
five minutes away by car. Be prepared for a pushy sales pitch for a time-share.

Spacious apartment-style suites with up to four bedrooms
Decor-wise, the apartment-style suites at Williamsburg
Plantation are run-of-the-mill, but generally attractive, with generic
furniture, fake plants, and artwork of botanical images and landscapes. Some of

well-maintained overall. Every suite comes with a fully equipped kitchen,
except for one-bedroom units, which only have kitchenettes. The largest
four-bedroom suites can sleep up to 12 people, with two king beds, two queen
beds (or four twin beds), and two queen sleeper sofas. All units have
fireplaces, jetted tubs, DVD players, and furnished balconies or patios.
