Its huge heated pool and two of the three restaurants overlook the ocean and its luxurious spa features a hydrotherapy area and a hammam. Rooms are attractive and upscale, with large canopy beds, modern amenities, and natural stone baths with separate showers and tubs. The common spaces full of columns, fountains, and arched entryways are grand and impressive, if a tad ostentatious for some tastes.

This glossy high-rise's adults-only policy attracts a lot of vacationing couples looking for a sunny getaway minus splashing kids or party animals. Large pools, direct access to a sandy beach, two restaurants, and a spa add to the appeal. Guest rooms are contemporary, with wood-laminate floors, espresso-colored furniture, and soft gray-and-white bedding. The result is tasteful, if a little generic. Rooms do have one major drawback -- no Wi-Fi, which is only available in common spaces. The location, within walking distance of several beaches, restaurants, and shops, makes it an excellent pick for those who want to explore the area. 

A block from famous Fañabé Beach, Colon Guanahani is a quiet adult-only hotel with a few great features, including two heated saltwater pools, a solid buffet restaurant, a small spa, and a well-equipped fitness center. Spacious rooms come with flat-screen TVs, minibars, modern bathrooms, and balconies or terraces. Guest are offered free access to a tennis court with flood lights for night play located at a nearby sister property.

La Plantación del Sur is a serene, luxurious hotel located a few blocks from one of the nicest beaches in Costa Adeje. Flat-screen TVs, minibars, pillow menus, furnished balconies (some with ocean views), and safes are all standard amenities; Some rooms have romantic canopy beds, outdoor whirlpools, and spacious terraces with wicker padded loungers, while villas have hydromassage shower cabins and deep soaking tubs. With four beautiful pools, two solid restaurants, a great spa set in a volcanic cave, kid-friendly amenities, and a well-equipped fitness center with group classes, this hotel is a great pick for leisure travelers.

Popular with couples, this luxury hotel is known for its elegant Art Deco style and intricate design, which  a far cry from what is found at most of the neighboring (and more generic) beach resorts. Rooms have elegant decor, balconies or terraces, and large bathrooms, most with separate showers and tubs. The location across the boardwalk from a sandy beach is a great perk. This is one of the best luxury hotels for the price in Costa Adeje, and most will prefer the rooms here to those at the similarly priced Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador.

This all-inclusive offers all the basics for a relaxing holiday, including an adult-only policy; two restaurants; a small spa with sauna, whirlpool, steam bath and massages; a small but modern fitness center; tennis courts; and two pools (a highlight here -- especially the infinity-edge one on a higher floor, which features wonderful ocean and sunset views). Rooms are clean and comfortable, but they’re not as luxurious as one might expect of a property that markets itself as 4-star.
