Best Western Classic Hotel

This is primarily a business hotel, but tour groups also stay here for its size, rates, and full-service amenities. It’s a busy property, with a traditional lobby characterized by wood paneling, checkerboard tile floors, and low ceilings. The lobby bar has no stools, so guests tuck in at clusters of crimson upholstered armchairs that surround low tables. The restaurant sees lots of traffic during the free breakfast buffet, though it’s a rather large room that handles the crowds well. During the day, most of the activity happens in the hotel’s conference area.

The Best Western is located on a busy road -- the Modena-bound side of Via Emilia -- about a 10-minute drive to Reggio Emilia’s city center. A couple of restaurants and pubs are a short walk away. Most guests will need a car to get around, but there's a bus that stops in front of the hotel and takes riders into the city center in about 35 minutes. For sporting events, MAPEI Stadium is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. The city’s airport is six minutes by car, and Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna is a 45-minute drive. Plan on about 35 minutes in the car to reach Modena. 

Guest rooms have an appealing, traditional style. Some rooms have navy and gold patterned carpet, while others have lovely hardwood floors. Bedding is bright white, accented by gold and blue bolster pillows and bed throws, and handsome wood furniture includes headboards, desks, and wardrobes with mirrored doors. Large pieces of quality art and high ceilings -- some of which are paneled -- enhance the elegant spaces and add polish.  Units are comfortable and spacious enough to accommodate multiple chairs, and suites have seating areas with sleeper sofas. Standard amenities include AC, flat-screen TVs, generously-stocked minibars, kettles with free tea and coffee, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms boast balconies. Bathrooms are equally roomy and smart, with beige or green tiling, wide, white ceramic vanities, heated towel racks, bidets, and shower/tub combos or stall showers with removable showerheads. Standard and larger Executive rooms come in Twin or Double options.  

This hotel is packed with amenities and caters to its business traveler clientele. There's a conference center with several separate meeting spaces, the largest of which can accommodate events for up to 400 people. There's also a business center with a computer and printer. For on-site dining, The L’Amorotto Restaurant offers a free hot breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner menus focus on fresh seafood and regional Italian cuisine, and there's a wine cellar. The lobby has a full-service bar that’s open daily as well. Room service is available. Another highlight is the fitness center, which has several pieces of cardio and weight-training equipment, plus a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and relaxation area with several loungers. There's a fleet of free loaner bicycles, valet dry cleaning and laundry is among concierge services, and guest laundry facilities are on-site. Parking is free on the hotel’s surface lot and in its garage. Pets are welcome with some restrictions, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
