The Adya Hotel Langkawi is a polished, contemporary Islamic hotel with three pools, a 24-hour restaurants, and lovely views of the Strait of Malacca. The 207 rooms are comfortable and outfitted with air-conditioning, mini-fridges,  coffee- and tea-making facilities, and flat-screen TVs with satellite and cable channels (along with free in-house movies). The contemporary rooms also have small balconies with stunning views of the sea and Kuah town. All rates a free quality breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi, and parking.

Tropical Resort Langkawi

The 25-room, budget-friendly Tropical Resort is located in a peaceful part of Langkawi that’s close to the beach, as well as the restaurants, shopping, and nightlife of Pentai Cenang. The rooms are no-frills but contemporary, outfitted with small flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, plus free Wi-Fi and bottled water. On-site amenities include an outdoor pool, restaurant serving a free basic breakfast, and a rental car and scooter station in front of the hotel. It provides a good value for travelers looking to spend their days by the water and evenings out, but note that there are no loungers offered at the beach.

Sunset Beach Resort

The Sunset Beach Resort's charming chalets and tropical gardens just off a quiet stretch of private beach make this budget hotel a bargain. There are just 19 spacious, clean rooms with furnished patios, tea- and coffee-making facilities, TVs, and mini-fridges. Free Wi-Fi and safety deposit boxes are available at reception. Although there’s no restaurant on-site, there are ample restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Additionally, the popular (and often crowded) Cenang Beach is just a five-minute walk away.

Tubotel

Langkawi, Langkawi District, Kedah, Malaysia

Tubotel is a quirky value hotel whose 17 rooms are repurposed, vibrantly painted concrete water pipes with air-conditioning and king beds. Situated at the end of a jetty, Tubotel offers great sea views but no beach. Cenang Beach is about a five-minute drive away, and the hotel operates free boat trips to nearby island beaches in exchange for clean-up work. Tubotel has a restaurant with a terrace on the bay, as well as a bar and everything from scooter rentals to water sports. A homemade breakfast, which can include frittatas and banana pancakes, is included in the room rate.

Bayview Hotel Langkawi

The 282-room Bayview Hotel Langkawi is a three-pearl property with a casual, relaxed ambiance and setting in the middle of the Kuah commercial district. The overall look is dated and generic, though rooms do come with flat-screen TVs, minibars, kettles, and bathrobes. Cenang Beach is a 30-minute drive away, and guests that stay on-site are typically lounging poolside or making use of the spa and fitness center. There are a Chinese restaurant and another eatery serving local and international cuisine all day, and all rates include a breakfast buffet. Know that there is little for kids to do here, plus visible wear and tear throughout.
