Best All-Inclusive Hotels in the Mediterranean

We travel for many reasons, but R & R ranks high on the list of common motivations. Yet sometimes it can feel like all of the planning out — and paying up — that a trip requires might negate the intended pleasure and peace. Resorts with all-inclusive packages can be a very appealing option for travelers who are simply searching for some mental respite. These hotels throughout Spain (Ibiza, Majorca, Benidorm), Sicily, Greece (Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes, Zakynthos), and Turkey (Antalya, Belek) offer all-inclusive rates and beautiful Mediterranean coast settings.

2

Delphin Diva Premiere

Antalya, Turkish Mediterranean Coast, Turkey

The Delphin Diva Premiere is a family-friendly luxury hotel set in the resort of Lara, a district to the east of Antalya and 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel extends to a sandy beach overlooking the Mediterranean while lots of its 390 rooms provide sea views from furnished balconies (though also get some noise from on-site entertainment). Leisure, eating, and drinking facilities are extensive, including a great range of pools and restaurants -- food quality can be inconsistent however. Expect to pay -- and get -- a little more at other Delphin hotels nearby, though some prefer the Diva for its smaller size and fewer crowds.

12

IGV Club Baia Samuele

Sampieri, Scicli, Sicily

For families and vacationers who want easy access to dining and activities, Baia Samuele is a solid choice. This all-inclusive property gets crowded and is particularly popular with Italian families. The property has beautiful patios, an Olympic-sized pool, getting a spa, and a huge fitness area, as well as a private beach. Rooms are clean and cheerful, though they don't live up to the four-star advertising. Note that the hotel is rather isolated, with the nearest town a 10-minute drive away.

True to its name, the property has trendy modern interiors with splashy neon accents. Guests tend to be European tourists staying here on one- or two-week package deals, and the hotel can get crowded during the peak season, causing long waits for elevators and meals.

19

Imperial Med Hotel, Resort & Spa

Kamari, Santorini

Isolated on Santorini’s eastern coast, Imperial Med is one of the island’s few properties offering an all-inclusive option. The upscale hotel is popular with Italian travelers and has a large outdoor pool where there’s often entertainment (in Italian), plus a spa, amphitheater, and sports courts. It’s a short walk to a nearby rocky beach, but the area around the hotel is deserted and the adjacent Santorini Airport means loud airplane noise all day.
