Argentino Hotel

Although it's nothing fancy, this little hotel is clean and well-maintained, and is more modern than other options in this category in Mendoza's city center. Cozy seating areas in the lobby provide nice spots where guests can gather and hang out on cushy sofas and chairs. The restaurant and wine bar are next to the lobby, so this area can be lively at times. The only other public area is the outdoor pool, positioned between buildings. It's popular when the weather is nice. With its excellent location and reasonable rates, this place draws both leisure and business travelers. 

Argentino Hotel is well-located in the heart of the city on Plaza Independencia, Mendoza's main square. The area is filled with restaurants, cafes, banks, travel agencies, and all kinds of shops. Teatro Independencia, a major performing arts venue, is just a minute away on foot, and guests can walk to General San Martin Park in about 20 minutes. The location is ideal for both tourists and business travelers who want to be in the center of the city and be able to walk most everywhere. Plan on about 20 minutes to reach Governor Francisco Gabrielli International Airport by car. The closest wineries are about 30 minutes south of the city by car, in Lujan de Cuyo. There's also a bus terminal about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. 

This hotel offers 29 Standard Rooms and 17 Executives. All feature modern decor and neutral color schemes that are dominated by beige: beige walls, beige carpet, beige furniture, beige patterned bedspreads, and beige drapery. Even the accent pillows are beige in some rooms, although some Executive Rooms have more colorful accents. Amenities in all include flat-screen TVs, minibars, air-conditioning, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms come with bidets, shower/tub combos, and toiletries. Executive rooms add hairdryers and glass shower screens. Some rooms look out to the plaza, but it's best to request these in advance. Street-facing rooms may be noisy at times. 

Although it lacks a fitness center, this hotel offers most necessary features for a comfortable business or leisure stay. The restaurant, Los Girasoles, serves Argentinean fare for all meals, including a free breakfast buffet. The small dining room is simple, but charming and bright, with vine motifs and large windows. Breakfast selections include breads, fruits, pastries, cereals, and yogurt. Room service is available, and there's also a small wine bar where guests can taste local wines. The outdoor pool is positioned between buildings, so it can be shady at times. Guests who prefer to relax can make use of a few chairs poolside or walk up a few steps to a landing with lounge and dining chairs. There is no spa, but massage services can be arranged. Two computers are set up on desks in the lobby for guests to use. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and parking also is free.
