The UNA Hotel Napoli is housed in an elegant 19th-century building with a beige facade, brown shutters, and iron balconies that overlook the constantly buzzing Piazza Garibaldi. Inside, the aesthetic is modern, sleek, and minimalist: clean white walls, low-lying black leather couches, a bright-red accent wall, and contemporary artwork. A counter with black stools looks out a large window and offers a nice spot for guests to sit and use the computer or plan a day out in Naples. Crystal sculptures and large cacti in shiny black pots enhance the room, though there's something of a chain-hotel feeling to the space -- understandably, as UNA is a small chain with hotels throughout Italy. Still, there are nice touches, such as a gray marble staircase, exposed brick walls, and a vaulted skylight near the elevators. The terrace is also a lovely spot for relaxing and taking in the panoramic views, with numerous potted plants lending charm to the brown wicker furniture. Overall, the property is best-suited to business travelers and others seeking a reliably comfortable stay that don't mind the lack of character. 

The UNA Hotel Napoli is in the highly trafficked Garibaldi Square on the corner of the Corso Umberto, lined with a nice selection of bars, pizzerias, and shops. Across the street from the hotel are a tram station and metro. The public transportation allows travelers to get to the main sights of the historic center in about 20 minutes. Walking to the historic center is also convenient: Chiesa di San Gregorio Armeno, Museo Cappella Sansever, and the Duomo are within 15 to 20 minutes away on foot. The National Archaeological Museum and Teatro di San Carlo are both within 30 minutes' walk. The drive to the Naples International Airport takes 20 minutes. Pompeii is about 30 minutes away by car. 

The hotel offers modern rooms decorated with patterned carpeting, light-wood furniture, scenic wall murals, bright-red or pale-green accent walls, and quirkily printed bed runners. Bathrooms have upscale finishings, wood touches, bidets, heated towel racks, hairdryers, and shower/tub combos or showers. Exposed brick in some rooms adds a charming touch. Some rooms have balconies or windows with wooden shutters facing the Piazza Garibaldi or Corso Umberto I. Executive Rooms and Suites are outfitted with upscale furnishings, coffeemakers, and sitting areas, and some have two balconies. All rooms offer flat-screen TVs, minibars, and safes. Irons and slippers are available on request. And free minibar snacks are included in some rates.

The sixth-floor terrace that overlooks Garibaldi Square is the hotel's most attractive feature. The free breakfast buffet includes hot, cold, and gluten-free items, and is served on the terrace in the summertime. Beside the terrace is the UNA restaurant that serves Neapolitan and Mediterranean cuisine in a dining room with skylights above flat-screen TVs, furnished with powder-blue chairs and booths. UNA Cafe, the cocktail bar, is modern with white chairs and stools. There’s a small fitness center in the basement with a stationary bike and treadmill. A total of four meeting rooms are also available to rent out, fitting up to 71 people. Projectors, flip charts, and secretarial services can be added on. In the lobby is a PC computer for guests. Wi-Fi is free. Paid parking is available, and the concierge can arrange various reservations, hire drivers, and schedule airport transfers.
