Servotel Saint-Vincent

Set in a nondescript four-story building with exterior balconies running its length, Sevotel St. Vincent looks more like a residential housing block than a hotel. The reception area is a bit of a hodgepodge, with wood-paneled and orange walls lined with photographs. Decorative accents include an oriental carpet, a Louis XV-style sofa, and two contemporary easy chairs flanking a gilded mirror. An adjoining seating area of plush armchairs upholstered in purple or beige velour, a shaggy rug, and fireplace has the cozy feel of someone's living room. Because of the hotel's proximity to Nice's football stadium, the hotel is popular with sports fans attending matches, and the hotel has also hosted many sports teams. 

Servotel St. Vincent is off the autoroute, and is about a 15-minute drive to the Promenade des Anglais and the city center. A train station and the Nice football stadium are within walking distance. The area is also linked by bus service to Nice. There are only a few shops, restaurants, a shopping center, and a supermarket nearby. A car is recommended for exploring the area.

All the guest rooms and suites at Servotel St. Vincent have large sliding doors that open onto balconies, which let in plenty of natural sunlight. But the color palette in some rooms is dark, with deep-brown carpeting, dark wood furniture, and beige curtains and pillows decorated with brown swirling patterns. Several lamps provide some much-needed mood lighting. Bathrooms feature shower/tub combos, but the tiling has a dated look. Suites feature more updated decor, and are done up in gray tones with red accents. Suite bathrooms provide walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads, and a few extras like towel warmers and magnifying mirrors.

Standard in-room amenities include air-conditioning, 32-inch flat-screen TVs, coffee- and tea-making facilities, minibars filled with a few soft drinks and free mineral water. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided in the bathrooms. The Privilege Rooms and Suites include a few extra amenities: 40-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, coffee machines, minibars with free soft drinks, and slippers and robes.

Past guests have complained about signs of wear, including stained carpets. Street-facing rooms can pick up noise, especially when there's a match going on. 

Breakfast, which isn't included in the rates, consists of a cold buffet of breads, pastries, cookies, muffins, cereals, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee, and fruit juice. For lunch and dinner, guests have the choice of two on-site restaurants. The Le Saint Joseph is good for an a la carte menu of Mediterranean cuisine and regional specialties. Set on a pleasant lawn next to the pool area, the Pool restaurant offers a menu of French cuisine. Le Trente bar is open for a few hours in the afternoon and again in the evening.

From May to September, the outdoor swimming pool has a lush setting surrounded by palm trees and a rock garden, with several sun loungers and umbrellas. Outdoor seating areas offer a place for guests to relax, and there's also a ping-pong table, a stationery bicycle, and elliptical machine on a covered deck.

The hotel offers four meeting rooms located on the ground floor, which have direct access to the adjacent garden. The free Wi-Fi connection is available in all areas, and on-site parking is free.
