Simple and clean, though some parts are dated
Built in a cheerful yellow building that sits on the main road of a small village, the hotel is simple and decidedly unfussy, with wood-beamed ceilings that add some old-fashioned charm. There’s a homey space in the lobby with dark blue velvet couches and a cupboard full of china nearby. The breakfast room is orderly and clean, with basic tables covered in burgundy tablecloths. There’s a small bar area that’s dated, its banquettes covered in busy fabric. Overall, the bar is not a great place to dwell, but could be a decent place to unwind with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing.

In the center of Dolo, a small town about half an hour from Venice
The hotel sits on a narrow road across from the Brenta Canal in the center of the town of Dolo in Riviera del Brenta, an area known for its grand villas built by Venetian nobility. There are lots of restaurants and cafes near the hotel and Venice and Padua are each about a half an hour away by car. There’s also a bus stop right near the hotel and the trip to Venice takes about 50 minutes.

The two-dozen air-conditioned rooms at the Albergo alla Campana have simple, dated decor, with loud floral bedspreads, inexpensive wooden furniture, and spartan cupboards. That said, rooms are kept spotless. All rooms come standard with flat-screen TVs, small safes, and hairdryers. Bathrooms are spacious, with green and white tile and small plastic-walled stall showers. Bathroom storage space varies by room. The road that runs right by the hotel can be noisy. Views of the canal from some rooms are truly lovely.
