The three-pearl Oceania Deluxe offers 12 well-appointed condos, all featuring multiple bedrooms and full kitchens with varying amenities and decor. Interiors are attractive and modern, and the hotel features views of beautiful Eagle Beach from all of its rooms. The prime location, tight security, and three on-site pools make this a popular choice among families. Aside from a simple fitness center with a handful of modern equipment and a spartan play room, there aren't many features, and Wi-Fi is free but consistently spotty (though that goes for most hotels on Eagle Beach). Despite the hotel's mostly lovely style, honeymooners might be better off at the nearby Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, a larger resort with more features and slightly higher rates.

Oyster Hotel Review
Oceania Deluxe Beachfront Resort by Prestige
Private beachfront condos in a subdued, well-manicured complex
The condos at Oceania Deluxe Beachfront Resort are spread over six buildings, and span several floors arranged like dominoes in a stack, making sure that everyone gets at least a glimpse of the ocean right across the street. The complex caters to independent travelers, including plenty of families from North America and Europe, who prefer private, self-service vacations over all-inclusive resorts. This doesn’t mean that the Oceania is lacking in activity: tennis, racquet ball, and squash courts, as well as three huge pools make it easy to stick around the premises without getting bored.
It’s the only beachfront condo complex in the country, and sits right on Eagle Beach. The subdued, private vibe and spaciousness of this property make it appealing to anyone trying to escape the massive resort scene in Aruba and security guards patrol the manicured grounds 24 hours a day, making it a good place for families who want to let their kids run around.
Facing Eagle Beach in the low-rise district
The Oceania Deluxe stands on a quiet corner in the low-rise hotel district, just behind the main road that snakes along the Aruban coast. It’s just a thirty-second walk to Eagle Beach, arguably the most romantic white-sand beach on the island, with crystal-clear turquoise waters, and generally fewer crowds than Palm Beach, a seven-minute drive away. The island's biggest supermarket -- Super Food Plaza -- can be reached in three minutes by car or about 15 minutes on foot. Alhambra Casino is six minutes away by car, and Divi Links Golf Course is a seven-minute drive away. Downtown Oranjestad, with casinos, nightlife, waterfront shops, and a luxury mall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel, while getting to the airport takes around 15 minutes.
Condos with modern decor, well-stocked kitchens, and ocean views
The 12 condos at the Oceania have one to four bedrooms, dining rooms, well-stocked kitchens, and washer/dryer units. While the decor varies significantly from condo to condo, all are modern and have a breezy, stylish look to them, with up-to-date amenities such as flat-screen TVs, free spotty Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and modern kitchen appliances. Most stick to “off-to-the-beach” tropical decor, meaning oversized beach photos on creamy white walls, ocean-blue accents, and driftwood art. Furniture is homey and light, and in the units we visited we saw details like antiqued coffee tables and overstuffed couches with brightly patterned throw pillows.
Some units feature spacious rooftop decks, with private hot tubs and pools, barbecue grills -- a few even offer cardio machines to work out with a view. They’re stocked with beach chairs, water noodles, and coolers -- handy for trips to the nearby beach. Included extras such as laundry detergent, fabric softener, dishwashing detergent, and garbage bags save guests from having to run to the convenience store as soon as they arrive. Bathrooms have plenty of towels and are comfortably-sized, and most have shower/tub combos. Some bathroom mirrors have in-built TV screens. While the resort assures ocean views from all the rooms, the lower levels aren’t quite as promising as any room above the second floor. It's worth noting that daily housekeeping is not provided.
Huge, uncrowded pool area, fitness room, and tennis and squash courts
The complex has a limited range of amenities spread out evenly over the expansive grounds, though it lacks any real space to socialize like a restaurant or bar. The highlight here are the hotel's three pools. Two are huge and bean-shaped, with a smaller round one between them. All three are lined with sand, plenty of chairs, a few tiki huts and shaded by palm trees. Activities include squash, racquet ball, and tennis courts (with lights for late-night matches), and two small but modern fitness centers. There are also separate men's and women's saunas in the changing rooms.
There's no on-site restaurant, but there is a small children's playroom with a TV and some rocking horses. The business center is also just a large room with a conference table and some couches, but not a single computer in sight. The hotel has a free mini-library and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property (though the connection is unreliable). Parking is free and secure, barricaded from the outside by a security gate.
