of the Hampton Inn Austin - Arboretum Northwest is uninspiring and has an institutional look. The hotel lobby in contrast has a cozy and pleasant feel, with country
house inspired decor, wooden floors, stone walls, exposed beams, a few
attractive pieces of old-fashioned furniture, and wooden sliding doors. There’s
plenty of seating in the lobby area, with tables and chairs arranged in cafe-style clusters as well as comfy sofas. The busy patterned carpets in the corridors, however, look drab and dated and are due for an update. The hotel attracts many
business travelers because of its proximity to the company offices of many major
corporations, but families are also frequent guests, thanks to the
hotel’s family-friendly policy.
