Bottom Line

The Revolution Hotel is an affordable option in often-pricey Boston. The South End location puts travelers in a great neighborhood with easy access to transportation and some of the city's best restaurants.

Rooms are small, but thoughtfully designed with modern touches. Bunk bed quad rooms are great for groups or families who want to save money but not share a bed.

For more space, opt for one of the 14 newly refurbished loft rooms that include an in-room bath and a fully-equipped kitchenette.

The Revolution Hotel

Scene

Boston-themed budget hotel

The Revolution Hotel wants guests to go out and explore the city, and so the scene within the hotel is fairly quiet. Cosmica, the onsite restaurant and bar, livens up the property as locals and tourists stop in for margaritas on the pretty patio in warm weather.

Fun Boston-themed touches throughout the hotel lend a local vibe to the property, with photo-worthy murals and art depicting Boston inventions.
