Best Western Premier Bryan College Station

The Best Western Premier is housed in a five-floor modern building with large porte cochere entrance. The interiors are done in a warm beige, tan, and brown, and they have decent style for a mid-range chain hotel. Furniture is of high quality, much of the upholstery features interesting graphic prints, and there are numerous objects of art on display. With its extensive meeting space and location, the hotel attracts many guests in town on corporate or university business. Leisure travelers are drawn to the affordable rates and free hot breakfast, and many guests are here for an Aggie sports event or to visit their children attending college. Families with kids benefit from the year-round outdoor pool and hot tub. 

The Best Western Premier is off Highway 6 next to a supermarket and movie theater, with several restaurants within a short walk. The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History is a five-minute drive. The center of Bryan features shops, restaurants, bars, the Old Bryan Marketplace antiques mall, the Brazos Valley Farmer’s Market, and Greyhound bus station -- it’s a little more than five minutes by car. The Museum of the American G.I. and Santa’s Wonderland are a 15-minute drive. At a little less than 15 minutes by car from the north end of the campus, the hotel is not as convenient to Texas A&M as some other area hotels. The center of campus, with The Quad, Rudder Plaza, Albritton Bell Tower, the Hall of Champions, and Kyle Field football stadium is a 15-minute drive. Reed Arena (basketball) is a little more than 15 minutes, and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum is about 20 minutes by car. Easterwood Airport is a little less than a 20-minute drive from the Best Western Premier. 

The spacious guest rooms at the Best Western Premier are done in warm and soothing colors of beige, tan, and various shades of brown. The look is contemporary, and there are elements of quality and style in the wood furniture, padded headboards, and graphic-print bedding. Many of the color photographs on the wall have a local and Texas theme. All 100 units come with 42-inch flat-screen TVs with HBO, plus alarm clocks with MP3 docks, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Suites have seating areas with sofas, and some offer views of the Texas A&M campus and Kyle Field. The spacious and well-lighted bathrooms are done with granite countertops and come with hairdryers, make-up mirrors, and shower/tub combos. 

The Best Western Premier offers guests a solid list of property features. A small (a little less than 10 meters long) outdoor pool and saltwater hot tub are situated next to an attractively landscaped deck with tables and chairs. The pool and hot tub are open year-round, but the pool is unheated and can get chilly in colder weather. There's also a modern 24-hour fitness center features an elliptical machine, stair-stepper, treadmill, free weights, weight machine, and flat-screen TV. For dining, the free breakfast buffet earns solid reviews from previous guests for its make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, hot meats, and generous array of cold fare. Free coffee and tea are available all day in the lobby, and a lobby-level cocktail lounge features daily happy hour and serves appetizers and light fare in the evening. The hotel has no full restaurant for lunch and dinner, but several are within a short walk of the hotel. A 24-hour front desk, meeting rooms, business center, coin-op laundry, free parking, and minimart round out the property's amenities. Up to two pets (dogs preferred, other pets at hotel’s discretion) are allowed per room for a per-night fee, with a weight limit of 80 pounds per pet. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
