Bottom Line

This romantic boutique hotel in the bohemian Palermo Soho neighborhood has 14 individually designed rooms that feel elegant yet homey. The tree-lined streets surrounding this upper-middle-range, adults-only property are filled with parks, shops, and
restaurants, and it’s easy to get to many of the city’s big attractions, like Plaza San Martin park, from

Scene

Quiet, adults-only property in 1920s-era building with romantic charm

The exterior of the hotel, built in the early 1920s, is attractive and welcoming. The beautiful, arched doorway has decorative iron and woodwork, and the rooms
above have large windows and pretty, wrought-iron balconies with window boxes. The entrance
leads to the small lobby, which has parquet flooring, comfortable red velvet seating, and an
elegant and unusual reception desk upholstered in silver velvet. There’s also
the quirky touch of a hat rack from which guests are welcome to borrow a hat to
wear for the day. The entrance to the spa is through a brick-walled hallway lined with tropical plants and a faux-wrought-iron table with two chairs, further enhancing the property's easygoing elegance. Hallways throughout the two-story building are painted white and have beautiful wood floors. The hotel is adults-only so has a quiet atmosphere and caters
to couples and single travelers. Guests can be found relaxing around the small outdoor pool, which sits beside a green lawn and has a wood deck lined with red-cushioned wicker and wood furniture -- an attractive place to curl up with a book after a day out exploring the bohemian neighborhood.

Location

Plenty of culture to soak up in Palermo Soho

The hotel is well situated in a quiet neighborhood on a pretty,
tree-lined street in the Soho district of Palermo, a hip area known for its cool cafes, unique shops, abundance of excellent restaurants, and lots of gardens, lakes, and parks. It’s around 20 minutes from
the center of Buenos Aires and a great location for tourists who want to see
the more bohemian side of the city. The large Carlos Thays botanic gardens and Buenos Aires Zoo are a 15-minute walk, and many main attractions are
within a short distance: the Palace of the Argentine National Congress, beautiful Plaza San Martin park, and spectacular Teatro Colon -- considered one of the best concert venues in the world -- are a 15-minute
drive from the hotel. For getting further afield, Scalabrini Ortiz Metro
station is within a 10-minute walk. It’s around a 40-minute drive to Ezeiza
International Airport.

Rooms

Sophisticated and welcoming with individualized decor and minibars

The individually designed guest rooms are decorated in fresh, elegant
colors like cream, taupe, and pale mint-green. They have parquet flooring, large
windows, and homey touches such as window-side cushioned benches, vintage-style alarm clocks, knitted throw pillows, and decorative lampshades with red stripes or floral patterns. The air-conditioned
rooms all have a flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, safes, and minibars. Some rooms have balconies, while Twin Rooms can overlook the pool, and Deluxe Rooms have a 1920s look with vintage-style armchairs and armoires. Each room has a desk and chair, as well. Bathrooms feature generously sized marble basins, but it’s
worth noting there are no baths, just walk-in showers.

Features

Spa, garden, and outdoor pool, plus free breakfast and Wi-Fi

Breakfast is served in the cheerful Cook restaurant, a sunny room with bright white decor. Breakfast is free and
offers a huge selection of beautifully presented food daily, including pastries, fresh fruit, meats, and made-to-order egg dishes. Adjacent to Cook is the lounge bar where guests can help
themselves to free snacks and coffee throughout the day; wine and other
alcoholic drinks are served here in the evening. The garden area contains the outdoor pool -- it’s small but well-kept and is a quiet space to relax. In the
