Hotel Villa Adriana

Hotel Villa Adriana has a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, where guests spend time strolling the lush property, reading a book on a chair or sun lounger, or swimming in the seasonal outdoor pool. There's even a small private chapel for quiet contemplation. Rooms and public spaces are housed in a four-story main building with an annex. The interiors are pleasant, with simple furniture, and a mix of modern and classic elements. The hotel draws tourists and couples to. It also draws its share of families with children, who benefit from the family rooms, playground, and seasonal swimming pool. 

Hotel Villa Adriana is situated on a secluded hilltop, about a two-minute walk from Fegina Beach. The property isn't within walking distance of old town Monterosso's, but it's only a five-minute drive from the hotel. Getting there by bus is easy, with the closest stop, Via IV Novembre Civ. 15, a one-minute walk from the hotel, and it's about a 12-minute ride to reach sights including Piazza Garibaldi and San Giovanni Battista. The only sight that's within walking distance of the hotel is Statua del Gigante (a giant statue of Neptune), about eight minutes on foot. 

It's a short walk from Piazza Garibaldi to Monterosso Beach, and the seasonal (April to October) ferry to the four other Cinque Terre towns. The closest airport to the hotel is Pisa International Airport, about an hour-and-a-half by car from the hotel, or an hour-and-a-half by train from Monterosso Station, which is about an eight-minute walk away. 

Guest rooms at Hotel Villa Adriana are a simple and a bit spare, but they're still attractive and bright, and have colorful decor. There's wood trim and furniture, floral-print bedspreads, and hues such as burnt-orange, light blue, and mint green. All units have air-conditioning, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, and free Wi-Fi, but they lack kettles. Some rooms feature balconies and/or sea views, and mini-suites with living rooms are available. Bathrooms are basic and a bit small, with stall showers and limited counter space, but all contain hairdryers and bidets, and some feature rainfall showers. 

Hotel Villa Adriana's top feature is the seasonal outdoor swimming pool, situated in the hotel's garden. It's fairly large, and there's a deck with lounge chairs next to it. 

Another highlight is the full-service, on-site Ligurian restaurant, which serves a hot breakfast buffet for a fee. There's a good selection of items, including eggs, cheeses and Italian cold cuts, homemade cakes and brioches, and fresh fruit. There's a rotating menu for lunch and dinner, but there's always a spread of appetizers and salads, and a dish of the day. The hotel also has a bar, and in warm weather guests can take their meals or drinks on the outdoor terrace, in the garden, or beside the pool. 

Other amenities include a small playground, a chapel, free bicycle rentals, beach towel rental (for a fee), and transfer to the train station (for a fee). Parking is free of charge, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Families with travelers who have limited mobility should note that the hotel's family rooms are in the attic, and can't be accessed by the elevator.
