This hotel offers simple design and well-kept grounds in a convenient spot for enjoying the beaches and sites of Paphos. Couples and families rave about the staff for their pleasant and accommodating attitude, and the good amenities make it a great value for the money. From the small parking lot out front, guests enter a spacious, welcoming lobby. The room is largely unadorned, but has comfortable seating in the form of cushy white chairs pulled into groups, plus there’s a bar in the corner. The only embellishment in the room is a few lackluster paintings and potted plants. A side room has rows of yellow-and-red striped chairs and sofas facing a small tube TV and lending library. Past the lobby, guest rooms are spread among nine buildings painted either white or yellow, with blue trim around windows. Well-tended gardens line pathways between buildings for a touch of charm. 

Kefalonitis Hotel Apartments is near the western coast of Cyprus, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, just south of Turkey. The hotel sits on a quiet side street, a two-minute walk from the main road full of good restaurants. There’s a large grocery store a 16-minute walk (four-minute drive) away. It’s a 13-minute walk to a nice beach with a boardwalk and sandy shores. For those interested in the history of the area, it is an 11-minute walk to the Tomb of the Kings, a popular underground necropolis. A nine-minute drive will bring guests to the Paphos Archaeological park, a large area with the ruins of ancient houses, tombs, and a fortress. Paphos Harbor is a quaint, walkable area with many shops and sites, plus boat excursions available for rent, all a 10-minute drive away. It is a three-minute walk from the hotel to a public bus stop with access to major sites and beaches around the island. The hotel is a 24-minute drive from Paphos International Airport.

Rooms are spacious and well-kept, though their design is simple. Ivory walls and tile alongside dark-wood furniture are a neutral base, accented by burnt orange in a wall, sofa, or curtains. Trim around doors and windows is light blue, and the two twin beds have a brown spread, spotted with gold. Studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units all have full kitchens with a mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, and a toaster oven with two electric burners on top. Appliances are dated, but functional, and everything is pristine. All rooms have free air-conditioning, a small flat-screen TV, and a safe available for a fee. Bathrooms are basic, outfitted with a pedestal sink and shower/tub combo behind a plastic curtain. Hairdryers and bars of soap are provided.

This basic hotel has decent amenities for a relaxing vacation. The pool is a good size, with plenty of blue nylon loungers and a few bright-red umbrellas on the sunny patio. A cute bridge with a fountain spans the center, and there's a small wading section fenced off for kids. Flowers, bushes, and palm trees dress the space. Next to the pool, there’s an indoor restaurant and snack bar for drinks and light meals, serving both breakfast and lunch. It is a simple setup with stools at the bar and a few tables spread around the room. 

The indoor pool is in a spartan room with a bit of a basement feel, though there are windows for natural light. The water is about four feet deep at the lowest point, and it a nice option in colder weather. Also in this area is a basic fitness room with a few cardio and weight-training machines. A sauna, whirlpool, and massage room are available for guest use. A small game room has a pool table, table tennis, and a couple of video games. A simple playground is on-site for kids, while adults can use the tennis courts with basketball hoops. Wi-Fi is free in common areas, but does not extend to all rooms.
