Loutsiana Hotel Apts

Loutsiana Hotel Apts is a clean, comfortable option for leisure travelers interested in a quiet stay, removed from the party and beach scene of Ayia Napa. The pool is a main gathering spot for guests and can be busy, but the overall vibe is laid-back. A separate building, a few-minutes’ walk away, consists of several apartments and another pool. It has a quiet and private atmosphere, but no other amenities. 

Aside from the dated apartments, the design is contemporary and cheerful. The lobby is a lovely, open space with gray sofas and brightly colored chairs in blue, pink, green, and orange. Lovely artwork emphasizes the natural surroundings of the hotel. The adjacent restaurant is less vibrant, with a lot of wood and brown tones, but the indoor/outdoor design is pleasant, as is seating under palm trees on the terrace.  

This hotel is in Ayia Napa, a coastal town on the southwestern coast of Cyprus that's known for its beaches and active party scene. Loutsiana Hotel Apts is on the western end of town, an eight-minute drive from most of the clubs and bars, but just a 10-minute walk to the nearest beach. There’s a fun water park a five-minute walk away, plus a few restaurants and a supermarket are within a 10-minute walk. A bus stop just outside the hotel has service into more popular areas of town. 

The heart of Aiya Napa is the square by the Aiya Napa Monastery, a beautiful building from the Venetian period of the island’s history. From the square, there are several clubs and museums within a five-minute walk. The harbor area -- a 13-minute drive from the hotel -- is a popular place to grab fresh seafood, enjoy a boat ride, or visit an amusement park with younger children. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from Larnaca International Airport.

Deluxe Studios and Apartments are spacious, but modestly decorated with old-fashioned wood furniture, blue and white linens, and a few pieces of generic floral artwork. Although simple in design, everything is clean and well-kept. Sofa beds in the living rooms allow for extra guests. These units come with flat-screen TVs, safes, and irons, plus kitchenettes with kettles, toasters, mini-fridges, two-burner stovetops, and cookware. Some packages include free air-conditioning, while others charge per area in the apartment. Bathrooms are clean and functional, with shower/tub combos behind partial glass dividers, free toiletries, and wall-mounted hairdryers. 

The Luxury Studios, meanwhile, have a more relaxing, contemporary atmosphere. Decor is brighter, thanks to clean-lined white and wood furniture, beige sofas, and marble floors, punctuated by pink throw pillows, sky-blue curtains, and mauve accent walls. They also include extras like premium mattresses and sun loungers on the terrace, though the space is shared with neighboring rooms. Bathrooms have walk-in shower stalls with rainfall showerheads, hairdryers, and toiletries. 

The on-site restaurant serves good food, consisting of both local and international cuisine. However, many past guests have found breakfast repetitive and less impressive than other meals. The pool is a pretty spot with a rocky waterfall feature and a whirlpool section. Palm trees surround the terrace, which has a small wading pool and ample free loungers under umbrellas. The pool bar is available for drinks and snacks throughout the day. There is a small massage room, and a bright, modern fitness room with cardio and weight-training equipment. A billiards table is by the pool bar, and a small game room off the lobby has air hockey. There’s a shaded playground on the lawn next to the pool. Entertainment is offered in the form of barbecues, live music with dancing, and shows. Wi-Fi is available for a fee.
