The 39-room Coyote Mountain Lodge provides

Estes Park. The property also has an outdoor hot tub and seasonal small pool.

Scene

A value lodge offering mountain views

Coyote Mountain Lodge is a
quaint value motel with large windows and a deck offering beautiful views of Rocky Mountain National Park peaks. The property is near a busy main road
but still feels removed. Elk and deer occasionally wander by. The A-frame lobby is charming
with windows that face the mountains. The reception area has a lounge with
comfy brown sofas, an old tube-style TV, stone accents, and a picnic table near a
kitchen nook with coffee, snacks, and beverages. There are also board games and
acoustic guitars available in the lobby.

Location

Near lake and Estes Park; short drive to array of attractions

Located north of Lake Estes, Coyote
Mountain Lodge is near busy Big Thompson Avenue. A few restaurants, markets,
and shops are within walking distance and it’s a quick four-minute drive to
downtown Estes Park, where there are lots of options for entertainment,
cocktails, and dining. Kirk’s Flyshop is downtown as well and offers fishing
tours. Rocky Mountain National Park is a 24-minute drive west from the lodge
while Rapid Transit Rafting is only four minutes west by car. On the other hand, Denver
International Airport is an hour and 30 minutes southeast by
car, and getting to Roosevelt National Forest takes two hours and 15 minutes.

Rooms

Variety of room options, including log cabin, vacation home, and retro unit

The
lodge offers motel rooms, two condominiums, a log cabin, and a vacation home.
Earth-tone furnishings, carpeting, classic wood furniture, mini-fridges, microwaves, tea/coffeemakers and air-conditioning are also in most rooms. Retro/Vintage rooms have furnishings from the 1970s for cheaper prices. Condominiums feature
living rooms, dining rooms, and lovely mountain views from decks with grills.
The cabin, on one acre, has two bedrooms, pine-wood designs, and traditional decor
while the Otis Vacation Home has six bedrooms, three bathrooms, one-acre of
property, and two large patios with beautiful views. Some rooms have tube-style
TVs and no air-conditioning. Outdoor hallways also offer mountain views.
All rooms and units come with free Wi-Fi.

Features

A bright banquet room and small Internet corner on hand as well as pool and hot tub

The Coyote’s outdoor heated
pool is standard for a budget hotel and only open seasonally. An above-ground
hot tub, though, is open year-round. There’s also a grill on the deck. The
lodge offers a 1,700-square-foot event center that features wooden flooring,
large windows, and a patio deck overlooking the stunning mountain peaks. The
space can fit up to 120 people and features a bar counter, tables, chairs, and
a podium. Catering can be arranged upon request. An Internet corner in the lobby
provides a PC computer for guests.
