Bottom Line

Located in an attractive private home, the mid-range Fiorenza B&B offers three clean rooms with private bathrooms. This property is far from Florence’s main attractions, but most can be reached in under a 30-minute bus ride. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to make coffee, tea, or snacks and enjoy the pretty outdoor garden area. There’s a free breakfast including fruit, cereal, and various cooked items like scrambled eggs or quiche. The live-in host is praised by guests as helpful and hospitable, including giving directions to areas of interest. Fiorenza B&B

Scene

Charming bed-and-breakfast with pretty courtyard and outdoor space

Looking every bit like a classic Tuscan home, Fiorenza B&B is a square white house set with olive green shutters partially obscured by a tall, leafy tree. Past the entrance, there’s a small lobby area with a large map and travel books for guests to peruse. The back half of the house is centered around a columned courtyard opening onto a covered patio with a foosball table and wooden patio furniture. Beyond that, the wide grassy lawn gives a leafy place to rest. At times, children’s toys are strewn about the yard. Breakfast is served in a bright kitchen/dining area with pink-and-white striped walls, bistro tables, and terra-cotta floors. Framed pictures, tall windows, and white linen table runners create a lovely dining space. The kitchen, available for guests to use for making snacks, is both cozy and modern with white cabinets, brass towel racks, and a copper range hood. Overall the property is warm and homey, with the added bonus of a generous host who can assist with local recommendations.
