- Dated decor with comforters on the beds, not duvets
- Views from balconies are mostly of roadways
- Old tube TVs
- Some complaints of highway noise
- Not located directly on the beach (it's across the street)
The Comfort Inn Destin's 100 rooms don't stray from the hotel chain mold. Rooms are clean with private balconies, mini-fridges, and microwaves, but decor is outdated and beds are topped with comforters, not duvets. Excellent freebies include Wi-Fi, a hot breakfast, and daily newspaper. The outstanding feature of the hotel is a big outdoor pool surrounded by palm trees, and there is also an indoor pool and fitness center. But the hotel is not located directly on the beach (it's across the street), and some guests complain of highway noise.
