The Corner Hotel

The five-floor Corner Hotel appeals to business travelers and budget-minded tourists alike, due to its affordable rates and central location. The no-frills hotel features a glass-door entrance and lobby windows that are decorated with white, swirly designs. Guests check in at a small, modern front desk positioned across from two black, mod-style chairs. The hotel’s general atmosphere is clean and contemporary, but not flashy. There’s a modern elevator and stylish staircase made of stone and glass. The hallways leading to rooms are covered in red carpeting with white walls and wooden doors. 

As the name implies, the Corner Hotel is located on the corner in the center of Frankfurt, where two main thoroughfares meet. There are numerous banks, restaurants, cafes, and shops in the area and there are Thai food and sushi restaurants right by the hotel, as well as a yoga studio. It’s a five-minute walk to Frankfurt's central train station. The Congress Center Messe Frankfurt is 11 minutes away on foot and the Messe Frankfurt GmbH is a seven-minute walk. The Zeil shopping promenade and the MyZeil Shopping Mall are 10 minutes on the S-Bahn (tram). It’s a 16-minute walk to the Stadel Museum, on the opposite bank the Main River. The Frankfurt Airport is 15 minutes by car or S-Bahn.  

Rooms are modernly decorated in dark wood furniture and red carpeting. Single, Twin, and Double Rooms are available, and all were renovated in 2010. Rollaway beds are also available. In-room features include minibars, kettles, flat-screen TVs, writing desks, wardrobes, air-conditioning, and digital safes, and guests are treated to free welcome chocolates upon arrival. Bathrooms are clean and modern, with white and silver fixtures. Most bathrooms have shower/tub combos, although Twin Rooms instead have cramped, shallow walk-in showers with curtains. Windows look out on the city or the rear of the building and its emergency exit; street-facing rooms can be noisy, especially on lower levels. Wi-Fi is free when reservations are made directly through the hotel.

As one might expect from a budget property, the Corner Hotel doesn't offer much in terms of facilities, although concierge services such as tour reservations are available from the 24-hour front desk. Luggage storage and a safe deposit box are also available.
