Many of the rooms have views of the river, as does the on-site restaurant, Riverside. Amenities include a smallish fitness center, a seasonal outdoor lap pool, and both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Guests wanting to forgo river views to be right in the town of Hood River may prefer the centrally located Hood River Hotel.

The Best Western is a good option for long-term business travelers who want a functional property with self-catering facilities as well as tourists in search of a room with a view. The riverside chain hotel looks bland from the outside, but the lobby is a bit more stylish, with a wooden piano, green and red walls and pillars, wooden vaulted ceilings, and light-wood, slate, and brown accents that give it a contemporary lodge-like appeal. There's also a deck and a stone patio, both with views of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the Gods in the distance.
