Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza

Ibiza, Spain

The 493-room Hard Rock is -- along with neighboring Ushuaïa -- one of a handful of true luxury hotels in Ibiza. With its 16,000-square-foot spa, indoor and outdoor pools, rooms and suites with swim-up pools, five restaurants, Fender guitar rentals, curated playlists, and a Michelin-star chef, the Hard Rock draws a bevy of celebrity guests and well-heeled couples. Although it can be loud and party-oriented, it's also kid-friendly, with the Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, a nursery, and playground. The property, located on Ibiza's largest beach, is visually arresting, and rooms are among the most stylish in the area. Be aware that planes can sometimes be heard landing at the nearby airport.

Ibiza, Spain

On a beachfront in a quiet area of Playa d'en Bossa, the upscale Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa has two large freshwater pools, three theme restaurants, a fully equipped gym, a modern spa with an indoor/outdoor pool, extensive sports facilities, and kids’ and teens’ clubs, plus daily entertainment. Spacious, bright rooms range from Doubles to Master Suites with two bedrooms, and have balconies or terraces as well as bathrooms with jetted tubs and showerheads. Some of the rooms have dated decor not up to scratch for this caliber, while others have been updated. Packed with family-friendly facilities, the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is also within a five-minute walk of Ibiza’s famous nightlife.

Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

Directly on a beach in a quiet area of Playa d’en Bossa, the luxurious Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa has a pool with underwater loungers and kiddy section, a buffet restaurant, and daily entertainment. Additionally, it offers guests free access to facilities at neighboring sister property Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa, which has themed restaurants, a fully equipped fitness center, an upscale spa, kids’ and teens’ clubs, and two more pools. The resort’s 430 appealing, contemporary rooms have wooden floors, a bright color palette, and furnished balconies or terraces. Some rooms are a little tight, while units overlooking the bar area can get some noise at night. Opened in mid-2015, the Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa is a more luxurious and stylish option than its sister resort.

Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The 100-room Migjorn Ibiza Suites & Spa is an upper-middle-range, stylish, family-friendly property that is centrally located within a short walk from nightlife and the beach. Contemporary duplex and triplex apartments offer fully stocked kitchenettes, living rooms, and furnished terraces, along with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and air-conditioning. This hotel has two pool areas, one with DJ sessions and another quieter pool complete with a kids' section and a playground. There is also a chic Mediterranean restaurant, a sun-filled gym, and a spa with a hydrotherapy area that's free for all guests. Those traveling without kids may want to compare rates at Ibiza Sun Apartments, which offers similarly stylish decor, and a somewhat more adult-oriented vibe.

Hotel Playasol The New Algarb

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The three-and-a-half-pearl Hotel Playasol The New Algarb Hotel has a prime party location between the beach and main street of Ibiza's Playa d'en Bossa area. After a 2015 overhaul, this 406-room hotel emerged with an all-white minimalist look and new lease on life. Rooms have balconies, AC, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi, but thin walls that let in lots of noise. The hotel's low price point and hoards of features, including four bars, beach club, buffet restaurant, poolside DJ and massage tent, and gaming consoles (to name a handful), make this a fantastic and popular beachfront bargain. Optional half-board and all-inclusive plans keep it easy, while the lively summer pool scene and nightly entertainment make it fun. Travelers looking for a quieter location should check out the stylish 40-room OD Ocean Drive off the Marina.

6

Sirenis Hotel Goleta & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The 250-room Serenis Hotel Goleta & Spa is located on a small sandy beach near some of Ibiza’s top nightclubs. With a great spa with a heated pool, tennis courts, a well-equipped fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a buffet restaurant serving Spanish and international fare, this upper-middle-range property offers plenty on-site. Most rooms have been renovated in a modern style with splashes of color, and include balconies, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, mini-fridges, hydromassage showers, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Next-door sister property Sirenis Tres Carabelas offers similar amenities and all-inclusive meal plans, but more rooms are updated here, and it doesn’t get quite as loud as its neighbor.

Sirenis Tres Carabelas & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The 245-room Sirenis Hotel Club Tres Carabelas & Spa is a popular all-inclusive right on the beach. Rooms in this upper-middle-range property are spacious and bright with balconies, and include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and air-conditioning, but except for the renovated Superior Rooms and Superior Junior Suites, decor is plain and dated (renovations are planned for all rooms). The property includes an outdoor pool with whirlpool and snack bar, a kids' pool, a fitness center with cardio- and weight-training equipment, a good buffet-style restaurant, and daily entertainment. But the highlight here is the spa, which includes a large, glassed-roof indoor lap pool, massage cabins, whirlpools, and salon services. The hotel is a popular pick for bachelor and bachelorette parties, which can mean noise at times. Sister property Sirenis Hotel Goleta & Spa is located next door, and while its rooms are more modern, it does not offer all-inclusive rates.
