Scene
Large and busy hotel with mostly standard decor

Guests are greeted in the large and sophisticated lobby, with white tiled floors, large reception desk, elegant lounge area, and traditional Japanese decor. The hallways are fairly plain with carpeted floors and no decor on the white walls. The Prandia Cafe & Restaurant overlooks the busy Kawaramachi Street, making it an ideal spot for watching the processions of two of the major Kyoto festivals, Gion Matsuri and Jidai Matsuri. Decor is understated with leather-covered chairs, white walls, and low-hanging lighting. The Library Lounge & Bar “HAVEN” has a typical English pub atmosphere, complete with floral carpeted floors, low-back green suede chairs, brown leather sofa, emerald green walls, book shelves, and an expansive collection of spirits on display.
