Hotel Isola Sacra Rome Airport

With a light pink facade and palm-tree lined entrance, Hotel Golden Tulip Isola Sacra doesn't have the traditionally dark Roman look. Inside, guests are greeted with a spacious and airy lobby featuring white tiled floors, a large reception area, comfortable seating, and contemporary art pieces. Stained-glass accents are lit from behind for a soft glow. The restaurant provides seating indoors and on the outdoor patio, overlooking the garden. The swimming pool is surrounded by gardens, along with sun loungers and umbrellas. Many guests stay here for the proximity to the airport, so they can catch an early morning flight, and the features make it a suitable stay for both tourists and business travelers. 

Hotel Golden Tulip Isola Sacra is located in the coastal town of Fiumicino, about a 15-minute drive to the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. The Fiumicino center and Fiumicino Port are about a 10-minute drive. For fans of archaeology, the ruins of Ostia Antica are a four-minute drive from the hotel. Rome's city center is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel; popular tourist sites including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, and Vatican City are all a 40- to 50-minute drive from the hotel. Unfortunately there is no public transportation within walking distance from the hotel. Guests without their own car will need to make use of private cabs or the hotel's shuttle service, which can be booked for trips to the airport and other destinations upon request (for a fee). 

The 104 guest rooms are spacious and well-maintained, though the overall look is dated and lacking in character compared to the rest of the hotel. Rooms feature light wood furniture, white walls, floral bedspreads, blue curtains, simple artwork, and tiled flooring. The amenities are updated and include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, minibars, and safes; tea- and coffee-making implements aren't provided. Large en-suite bathrooms include a stall shower. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided. Suites feature a hot tub and Superior Rooms, Junior Suites, and Suites have a balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool.

Hotel Golden Tulip Isola Sacro doesn't offer many features apart from their IT Restaurant, which offers an extensive Italian menu and the full buffet breakfast (included in room rates). The restaurant includes both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and the outdoor dining room overlooks the large swimming pool and gardens. A shuttle service to and from the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (other stops made by request) is available for an additional fee. There are four meeting and event rooms available for up to 150 guests. On-site parking is an additional fee. Other services include concierge staff, business facilities, and free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel.
