Residencial Florescente

Flower boxes on decorative Juliet balconies add curbside appeal to the Residencial Florescente. Inside, there's a classic lobby and a cheery breakfast room, which gets busy in the mornings, with yellow walls and big chandeliers. The restaurant and lounge is divided into two rooms. One room is charming, with pale-green and white wood-paneled walls. Wooden chairs and tables with floral tablecloths add to the country-chic vibe. The other room has a modern feel thanks to mood lighting, a stone wall, and sleek black tables. There's also an outdoor seating section with white umbrellas. 

The hotel is located a block from Av. Liberdade -- a street known for its high-end shopping -- with stores such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. There are plenty of restaurants nearby -- including a Hard Rock Cafe -- and it’s within a five-minute walk to the Restauradores metro station, making it an easy commute to most of the city. The airport can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. 

Some rooms at Residencial Florescente have been renovated more recently than others, which is most evident in the bathrooms. Some bathrooms are dated with white tiles, while others have modern red tiles, vessel sinks, and shower/tub combos. Overall, room decor varies quite a bit, ranging from bright-yellow rooms with floral curtains to orange rooms with dated striped bedspreads. All rooms have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have odd-angled walls and Standard Rooms are smallish. 

Residencial Florescente offers a breakfast buffet that comes included in the room rate, with fruits, bread, and cereal. There's also a restaurant on-site serving Portuguese food at lunch and dinner along with a bar and outdoor seating. The hotel's small gift shop sells local goods, T-shirts, and souvenirs. There's an Internet corner with two computers, and a vending machine with snacks and drinks for purchase.
