Bottom Line

This upscale boutique hotel is located in the heart of Australia’s trendy South Yarra neighborhood, which is filled with shops, restaurants and bars. As part of the Art Series Hotel Group, it’s dedicated to showcasing art from an individual artist—the acclaimed Dr. John Olsen. Guests are greeted by gorgeous artwork and sculptures throughout the hotel. There are over 200 elegant suites with modern technology and two on-site restaurants. There are also a spa and a fitness center, but the equipment is very minimal, and there’s a charge for in-room Wi-Fi.

A vibrant and chic hotel with acclaimed artwork

The moment you walk through the doors, you'll immediately be greeted by a large, breathtaking mural featuring cheerful yellows, oranges and blues and a life-size sculpture of a frog. The hotel is part of the Art Series Hotel Group—a collection of six boutique properties across Australia taking design inspiration from a specific artist—and artwork is seen throughout the hallways and suites from acclaimed landscape artist Dr. John Olsen. Grand portraits in bright colors are a constant and gorgeous part of the experience—there's even a large-scale piece of art on the outside of the building. The hotel’s interesting decor and sophisticated vibe works well for couples looking for a romantic weekend or business travelers. Popular and unique restaurants help make this a hip hotel.
