Some complaints about noise
The 162-room Hub Hotel is a stylish property catering to business travelers. The location isn't convenient to the airport or a metro line, though the hotel does provide a free on-demand shuttle system. There is a big indoor swimming pool with skylight, a spa, and European style restaurant with a pretty bar. Rooms are clean and modern, though some guests have noted that furniture is starting to look worn. Taxis into central Milan from the hotel can be quite expensive.
Scene
A mid-sized business hotel
The exterior of the Hub Hotel is all sharp angles and glass windows, but inside, the space is more intimate with a bright lobby decorated with futuristic white chairs and tables. Counter seating in the Mirror Lounge mimics a high-end coffee shop with a chalkboard menu and glass display cases.
Location
In the conference and trade area of Milan
The Hub Hotel is located in a bland neighborhood without much in the way of shops or restaurants. The nearest metro station can be reached via a free shuttle from the hotel. Milan's Trade and Conference Center is a 10-minute drive from the hotel, making it a convenient option for business travelers.
Rooms
Modern and minimal with flat-screen TVs
The Hub Hotel was completed in 2010 and rooms are beginning to show their age. Light hardwood floors and white walls give the rooms a spacious feel while a neon green desk chair the same color as the runners on the bed add a pop of color to dark wooden accents on the walls. In the bathrooms, bowl style sinks, shiny silver fixtures, and glass door showers look luxurious. Perks include a flat-screen TV and stocked minibar. An electric kettle is ideal for making tea in the morning, but the coffee is instant.
Features
The Mirror restaurant, a spa, and indoor swimming pool
Though there isn't much to see and do in the neighborhood, The Hub Hotel has convenient features for tourists and business travelers. The on-site spa includes chromo therapy showers and a variety of massage treatments. The indoor swimming pool isn't the biggest one we've seen, but it has resistant jets for swimming laps in place and a big skylight for natural light. The Mirror restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with a full bar.
