Although the exterior of the 3 Palms Oceanfront Myrtle Beach is painted in a loud, bright orange, the interior atmosphere is relaxed and calm. The spacious and well-lit lobby has gray wooden floors, yellow walls, and lots of multi-colored comfortable seating. The on-site, seasonal restaurant and bar, Horizons, has floor-to-ceiling windows, contemporary and bright seating, and exceptional ocean views. There’s also a bar area with high wooden stools and nice stonework.

The 3 Palms Oceanfront Myrtle Beach sits right on the beach with Family Kingdom Amusement Park, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores within walking distance. Broadway at the Beach, the Palace Theater, Ripley’s Aquarium, and the Myrtle Beach State Park are all less than 10-minutes away from the hotel by car, as are the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, The Market Common, and the Myrtle Beach International Airport. Barefoot Landing is about 20 minutes from the hotel.

A variety of room options are available at this hotel, from Studios to Suites with multiple bedrooms. All come with orange accent walls, brown bed runners, padded headboards, and gray carpet. Soft brown couches and/or blue leather armchairs provide extra seating and there is nature-themed artwork on the walls. Flat-screen TVs sit atop black dressers and all rooms have air-conditioning. Tan tile decorates the kitchenette areas, which have contrasting black granite countertops. Full-size refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves come standard, as do coffeemakers and toasters. Suites have living areas in addition to large kitchens with stainless steel appliances and dishwashers. Additionally, some rooms have sofa or murphy beds and/or private or shared balconies with incredible ocean views. Balconies have high railings that can obstruct views, and some lack seating. Past guests have complained of musty smells in rooms. Bathrooms are modern with granite countertops, vessel sinks, and tan tile. Suites feature large hot tubs and multiple bathrooms. Tarocco toiletries are provided.

The property features two small outdoor pools plus a lazy river with inner-tunes in a covered area with blue lounge chairs and excellent ocean views. The seasonal restaurant and bar, Horizons, receives reasonable reviews for its food and has views of the ocean. Room service is available but the hours are limited. The 3 Palm's updated fitness center includes a few cardio machines and towels but lacks weight-training equipment. There are also coin-operated laundry facilities for guest use. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, as is off-site parking.
