Bottom Line

Shore Crest Vacation Villas is a large club resort with mid-range, timeshare condos on the beach. Both Building I and II are within a 10-minute drive of Barefoot Landing, the House of Blues, and Pirate’s Cove. Because the units are individually owned, decor varies, but all have fully equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances, a large amount of living space, granite countertops, and balconies with ocean or marsh views. However, windows in the rooms are small and some bathrooms lack privacy. The property has hot tubs as well as indoor and outdoor pools and lazy rivers as well. There's a modern fitness center and game room with arcade games. Parking and Wi-Fi are free.

Shore Crest Vacation Villas

Scene

Friendly and comfy timeshare property with two buildings, one on the beach

A beach design plus a laid-back and friendly atmosphere gives the Shore Crest Vacation Villas I and II a community feel, and both are popular with vacationing families and couples. Building I's lobby features glass ceilings in addition to floor-to-ceiling windows for plentiful natural light, while wicker furniture and light tile add to the beach feel. It’s also directly on the ocean and has a private beach boardwalk. The lobby at Shore Crest II is a bit more traditional, with wood floors, classic pinkish-red furniture, low ceilings, and yellow walls. This building also has marvelous coastal marsh views.

Free coffee is available in each lobby, while potted plants, woven armchairs, blue area rugs, flat-screen TVs, and computers on wood desks decorate the owners' lounges. The Cabana Bars, which have metal seating, wood floors, and gray countertops are located next to the pool. Both buildings have yellow-orange exteriors that progressively fade to white on higher floors.

Rooms

Stylish condos with granite countertops, fully equipped kitchens, and balconies with great views

Units in both buildings are large and stylish, with various types of floral decor from the bedspreads to the couches. A mix of tan tile and striped carpets along with wood furniture and dining tables decorate the living areas. Fully equipped kitchens feature soft-close hinges, notably small granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, and have stacked washer/dryers tucked away in cupboards. Living rooms include flat-screen TVs with DVD players, and all units have balconies; those in Shore Crest I have ocean views while Shore Crest II balconies showcase the marsh area. Windows in bedrooms are tiny. Updated bathrooms have speckled granite countertops, bright lighting, and tan tile, and some master bathrooms have large soaking tubs. Bath & Body Works toiletries are included. Some bathrooms lack privacy, however, since the shower/tub area is separated from the bedroom by only a curtain rather than a proper door.

Features

Indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs plus fitness centers and game rooms

Both buildings offer lovely outdoor pools and hot tubs in addition to lazy rivers, and Shore Crest I’s outdoor facilities feature gorgeous ocean views. Indoor pools and hot tubs are also offered on-site at both buildings, both with big glass ceilings, potted plants, and tan lounge chairs. Fitness centers are well equipped with cardio and weight machines. Several different types of arcade games can be found in the game rooms, both of which are small, cramped, and dimly lit. Barbecue grills are also on the property, and there is free parking, but the lots fill up quickly leaving guests no choice but to park at the garage across the street. There are no restaurants on-site, though guests can get drinks and snacks at Cabana Bar.
