Best Western Suites Near Opryland

The colorful photo of the Nashville nighttime skyline with swirling music notes behind the front desk reminds guests that they're near the epicenter of country music. The rest of the lobby is more generic, with gray-tile floors, beige walls, black lacquer furniture, and recessed lighting. Orange bench seats face the front desk, offering guests a place to sit while waiting to check in, but they don't invite lingering. Given its proximity to the grand Ole Opry and the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, this Best Western draws a mix of tourists and conference attendees, and the small breakfast area off the lobby can get crowded in the morning. In the summer months, the fenced-off outdoor pool with lounge chairs provides a popular gathering spot for guests.

The Best Western is located off busy Briley Parkway, about 10 miles northeast of downtown Nashville. There are a few restaurants within a three- to five-minute walk of the hotel, and several more within a few minutes' drive. Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is a five-minute drive, while the Grand Ole Opry is an eight-minute drive, as are Opry Mills Mall and the General Jackson Showboat. Gaylord Springs Golf Links is a six-minute drive from the hotel. Most of the major downtown attractions, including Nissan Stadium, the Tennessee State Capitol, Bridgestone Arena, Music City Center, Printer’s Alley, Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and Music City Walk of Fame Park, require a 15- to 20-minute drive. Vanderbilt University is about 20-minute drive away, as is Nashville International Airport and Hermitage Farm. The hotel offers shuttle service to Gaylord Opryland Resort & and Convention Center, downtown, and the airport for a fee. 

The 100 rooms at the Best Western Suites Near Opryland are clean and spacious. Double Full Rooms and King Rooms include sitting areas with sofa beds separated by half-walls, and Whirlpool Suites have two separate rooms with additional flat-screen TVs in the living room, whirlpool tubs outside the bathroom (other suites include them in the bathroom), and a small walk-in shower with glass doors instead of the shower/tub combos with curtains in the Double and King Rooms. All rooms include small, granite-topped wet bars that hold one-cup coffeemakers, mini-fridges, microwaves, 42-inch flat-screen TVs, and electronic laptop safes. Decor is on the dark side, with two-toned brown-striped carpeting, dark-wood furnishings including matching headboards, desks, dressers, and nightstands, dark-red drapes, and dark reddish-brown upholstered sofas against off-white walls. Modern art in dark-wood frames hangs on some of the walls. Desks include media plug-ins and black leather office chairs. Bathrooms have beige-and-black granite-topped vanities and beige-tile floors, wall mirrors, and magnifying mirrors. Rooms have free Wi-Fi and free newspapers on weekdays. Some rooms overlook the Cumberland River, while other views are mostly of the grounds and parking lot. 

The Best Western Suites Near Opryland include a continental breakfast in the room rate. While there's no on-site restaurant, snacks are available from a vending machine, and the hotel also sells various sundries in the lobby. The outdoor pool is open seasonally, and there's a small fitness center with a treadmill, stationary bike, elliptical machine, a weight-lifting machine, and an adjacent sauna. The 24-hour business center has two computer stations with Internet access and a printer, a meeting room can accommodate up to 40 people. Shuttle service to the airport, convention center, and downtown Nashville is available for a fee. Parking is free, as is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
