Marina Park Plaza Huatulco

With an open-air, open-floor lobby, Marina Park Plaza is laid-back and relaxed. The lobby leads into the spacious pool terrace where most of the socializing happens. With a relaxed swim-up bar serving drinks throughout the day (based on occupancy), the pool area tends to stay busy, but rarely overrun. There are a few options near the hotel for guests to socialize and hang out. At night, the nearby WE Sports Lounge is popular with travelers and locals, featuring several flat-screen TVs with different sports packages. Konnichiwa Sushi Bar, around the corner from the hotel, is a popular destination for travelers for dinner or take-out. The two-bedroom condos and full kitchens draw a lot of families and some couples, but there's not much socializing at the hotel. Overall, the vibe of the hotel is tranquil and quiet. 

Marina Park Plaza has an enviable location situated across from the Marina Chahue, granting travelers lovely views of Chahue Bay. The hotel is a 15-minute walk, or a five-minute drive, from the golden sands of the popular Chahue Beach. The restaurants and shops of the small tourist town of Santa Cruz are a seven-minute drive, or a 30-minute walk, from the hotel. Boulevard Chahue, where travelers can find traditional Mexican street food (tacos, tamales, and tostadas) and the mega department grocery store, Super Che, is a 10-minute walk or a three-minute drive from the hotel. The restaurants and markets of La Crucecita are a five-minute drive or a 15-minute walk from Marina Park. Guests should allow 20 minutes for the drive to the Huatulco International Airport. Like many areas of Huatulco, taxis are readily available and cost efficient for travelers to use.

There’s a lot to like about the massive condos at the Marina Park Plaza. They manage to be bright and modern, but relaxed and laid-back at the same time. All condos consist of two bedrooms, and some have a small loft with a love seat. The condos feature spacious full kitchens with modern small appliances like blenders, coffeemakers, and toasters -- as well as full refrigerators and stoves. The living area of the condos have light brown wicker and wooden furniture, sleek wet bars, and dinner tables. Colors throughout tend toward browns, beiges, and whites, with pieces of bright artwork for added color. Bedrooms feature either two double beds or one king-size bed. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, full-length mirrors, and air-conditioning. There is plenty of closet space for extra storage. Bathrooms vary, but are small to moderately-sized with standing showers and shower/tub combos. All bathrooms have plenty of vanity space and towels. Magnifying mirrors and toiletries are provided. The highlight of all the condos are the spacious terraces with beige tile floors and wooden tables and chairs. Views change depending on the condo, but guests can generally expect ocean or park views. 

Marina Park Plaza's features focus on the outdoors. The hotel is centered around a spacious pool terrace set with blue-striped lounge chairs. There are a few umbrellas for guests to use, and there's also a wooden sunshade adjacent to the kiddy pool area. Guests can enjoy beer, wine, and mixed drinks from the swim-up bar while hanging out and sunbathing by the pool. Guests should note that like many hotels in Huatulco, the swim-up bar is open based on the occupancy of the hotel. Spa services offered by the pool terrace are a nice addition.There are a few drinking and dining options by the hotel, but food isn't served on-site. The nearby WE Sports Lounge features simple, casual grill fare like burgers, nachos, and wings, in a sleek and modern setting. With plenty of flat-screen TVs, contemporary booths, and sophisticated high-top tables, guests can expect a traditional sports bar vibe. WE features different sports packages, including some NFL games and MLB games. Konnichiwa Sushi Bar is another dining option. Open for dinner, the sushi bar features traditional sashimi and sushi rolls. Visitors can choose to sit at the sushi bar, one of the contemporary tables, or  take sushi to go.A spacious meeting room is adjacent to the pool terrace. There is plenty of free self-parking available around the hotel. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
