Casa Ojai Inn is a cream-colored motel-style property with turquoise doors, outdoor hallways, and a tree-lined parking lot. The hotel has been owned by local families for the last 39 years and has an eco-friendly philosophy supported by green practices. For instance, it provides discounts to those with electric or hybrid cars. It’s got a Spanish-mission-style atmosphere with earthen clay-tiled roofs and tropical plants, like palm trees, around the grounds. The lobby consists of a small wooden front desk and two dark-brown leather chairs for seating. It melds seamlessly with the small breakfast room furnished with wooden tables and iron-backed chairs. Most guests are couples and families looking for a budget-friendly option in walking distance to village restaurants and shops.

Casa Ojai Inn is well-located within walking and driving distance of many local attractions. The Soule Park Golf Course is a five-minute walk from the hotel. And downtown Ojai -- with shopping, restaurants, and entertainment -- is a 15-minute walk from Casa Ojai Inn. It takes 13 minutes by car to reach Casitas Water Adventure and Lake Casitas. Rooms at the Casa Ojai Inn have a Craftsman-meets-Polynesian theme with tropical bedspreads and custom wood furniture such as two-poster beds and nightstands with carved feet.
