Diamond Resorts Grand Beach

Resembling a condominium complex more than a resort, Diamond Resorts Grand Beach consists of a series of six-story white buildings with colonial red roofs. Inside, the lobby is bright and welcoming, with yellow and green walls, floral window coverings, and a separate area for kids’ check-in, complete with lemonade dispenser and snacks that's just a hint of the hotel's kid-friendly features. Built on the shores of Lake Bryan, the hotel is surrounded by ponds and pathways, with several beautiful areas overlooking the lake's beach where guests frequently feed ducks and relax in hammocks. Two large outdoor pool areas include a children’s pool and plenty of lounge chairs and space for relaxation. There's also a patio area for barbecuing, a sand volleyball court, huge basketball court, playground with large swing set, shuffleboard, and an 18-hole mini golf course that features large sculptures of animals native to Florida. Guests here are predominantly families, though a few couples stay here every now and again.

The resort is situated at the end of a street on its own quiet beach on the shores of Lake Bryan. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel, and guests should plan on having a car when staying here. Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores and a few restaurants can be reached in less than a five-minute drive. The Magic Kingdom is 15 minutes away by car, though other Disney World destinations are closer. Universal Studios is a 15-minute drive away as well, and Wet 'n Wild water park and SeaWorld are 10 to 15 minutes away by car as well. Orlando International Airport takes 20 minutes to reach by car or taxi, and Kissimmee is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. 

There are 156 units at the hotel and they are all self-contained, modern apartments with full kitchens, living areas, and one, two, or three bedrooms. Tasteful and conservative decor in each unit includes white walls, green striped carpets, and white mini-blinds. Classy French doors lead to the bedrooms and wall art is hung in metal picture frames. The kitchen in the one-bedroom units is more compact than the others. It has a mini-oven and stove with a full-size refrigerator, plus cookware and stainless steel appliances. Coffee and tea are provided in each of the units. There are at least two large flat-screen TVs mounted in every unit (in the living room and master bedroom) as well as free Wi-Fi access, air-conditioning, and a safe. Bathrooms are spacious, with large jetted tubs and shower/tub combos depending on the room category. Pool towels and a variety of toiletries are provided. The two- and three-bedroom units are also equipped with stacked washers and dryers, as well as an even larger bathroom with plenty of counter space. These units also have a small balcony, some with tremendous views of the lake. 

This property on Lake Bryan contains plenty of outdoor activities for families and kids including a delightful 18-hole mini-golf course, basketball court, volleyball nets, and shuffleboard. There's a beach area on the lake with canoes, paddle boats, and fishing gear available to rent. There is also a large children’s playground, two outdoor pools including a kids' pool and hot tubs, and a patio area with grills. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and there's a business center with a pair of desks and computers. Free kids activities are offered daily, from games to movies by the pool. Guests have free access to the small fitness area that has cardio and weight machines plus free weights. Both yoga and massages can be arranged on request. There's also a convenience store on site that's equipped with everything from breakfast cereals to swimming goggles plus a DVD rental corner, but there is no bar or restaurant at the hotel.
