The Enclave Hotel & Suites offers much of what other all-suite Orlando hotels offer: great location, full kitchens, and numerous swimming pools. But this is an older hotel, and the rooms do show wear and a lack of attention to detail, in terms of decor and atmosphere. For families who don't intend to spend a lot of time in the room, however, the Enclave is a serviceable budget-friendly option, with nice lake views and easy access to all the theme parks.
Scene
Casual surroundings with lake views
The view of the lake from the gazebo at the Enclave Hotel and Suites offers a peaceful respite from the noise, crowds and excitement of Orlando's theme parks. Indoor and outdoor pools give parents a spot to lounge while kids burn off excess energy. There is nothing fancy about the Enclave, but everything is adequate, and the convenient food court is an inexpensive dining option. The grounds, signage and general atmosphere are dated looking, and furniture and carpeting could use a refresher.
Location
In the middle of everything, with a peaceful lake view
The best feature of the Enclave Hotel and Suites is its location, just across a lovely lake, with a gazebo on the lake shore for those who need a meditative moment in the middle of Orlando madness. Disney is fifteen minutes away by car, and there are numerous shops and chain restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.
Rooms
Adequate but shabby furnishings and full kitchens
Not all rooms at the Enclave Hotel and Suites are refurbished. Ask for a renovated room with laminated floors, as guests have reported stained, smelly carpets in older rooms. Bedrooms are not big, and nondescript furniture is oddly arranged. For example, a tube TV takes up the entire surface of a dresser, blocking the bedroom mirror. Decor looks thrown together, with jarring color choices such as green counters in a beige marble bathroom. Kitchens come with cooktop, coffeemaker, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher and dinnerware. The hotel shows its age, and issues with cleanliness have been reported by some guests.
Features
Indoor pool, food court, dive-in movies
The Enclave Hotel and Suites has two outdoor pools, but there aren't a great number of lounge chairs. Unlike other area hotels, though, the Enclave also has a 24-hour indoor pool. The food court includes a Pizza Hut and other fast food outlets, as well as beer and wine, and there is a hot breakfast buffet, for extra charge. Pre-arrival grocery delivery is available, and activities include evening "dive-in movies", scuba lessons, ping pong, foosball, and arcade games. There are community washer/dryers, outdoor tennis courts and a small fitness center with weights and cardio machines.
