Due to the hotel's close proximity to a freeway, some rooms can be noisy, and while some rooms have fireplaces and balconies, the bathrooms can be small.

Intimate and welcoming, the entrance and lobby of this property are decorated in warm shades of burgundy and gold and have dark wooden furnishings. Penn’s View Hotel is located on a lovely one-way street by the water and is close to Independence National Historical Park, Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Betsy Ross House. A number of restaurants, shops, bars, and activities are nearby, as is the antique district and several art and history museums. Travelers who prefer not to walk can use the nearby subway or buses, and taxis are plentiful in this area. While the streets are beautiful and safe, the hotel's close proximity to the I-95 can make some rooms and common areas noisy.

A number of styles and room types are available, from more traditional Standards to larger Premium Rooms, as well as a Family Suite and a Meeting Suites. Every room includes free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, a desk, a TV, and air-conditioning. Standard rooms are the smallest available, but include beautiful traditional wooden furnishings, warm rugs, and a comfortable leather armchair, while Premium Rooms are more spacious and offer a fireplace and a patio or balcony. The hotel also has two Jacuzzi King rooms, which come with extra-large whirlpool tubs. Some bathrooms are on the small side, with awkward layouts and stall showers.
