Bottom Line

Located on the outskirts of the city center, Designhotel Elephant Prague is a modern, upscale hotel with 178 stylish rooms. All come with free Wi-Fi and small flat-screen TVs, but some of the rooms have limited counter space in the bathrooms. It’s less than a 20-minute walk to Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock Tower. The hotel shares a breakfast room, bar, and other services with the Grandior, a five-pearl hotel in an adjoining space. There's also a fitness center and a beautiful spa with wooden soaking tubs in the building. Business travelers may want to consider the similarly priced Grand Majestic hotel, a hotel with conveniences including a restaurant and coffeeshop on-site and meeting spaces available for private events.

Designhotel Elephant Prague

Scene

Baroque exterior with modern spaces shared with luxury hotel

In a beautiful four-story building with a Baroque facade, the Designhotel Elephant Prague is contrastingly modern on the inside. A glass ceiling sheds light into the lobby, while large whimsical metal globes and metallic tables give the space an edgy look. Breakfast is served in a large room shared with the attached luxury hotel, Grandior, where pianists entertain diners with a musical range including Latin American tunes. The bistro, U Hajku, located in the conference center is swanky, with stylish wallpaper and funky ceiling lights, while the spa in the building offers a variety of unusual massages including Hawaiian lomilomi and coconut massages. Three wooden tubs in a stone room in the spa offer a rustic spot for relaxing. The hotel has enough meeting space to make it a good choice for business travelers, although tourists who don't mind the property's removed location away from the major sights are also well catered to.
