This hotel is housed in a handsome former palace that's situated on a cobblestone street -- to say that the view from the pavement is very Rome would be putting it lightly. Unfortunately, the interiors don't come close to matching that elegant first impression. The lobby is quite small and narrow, with just the reception desk and a beat-up green leather sofa. It's not a place for hanging out -- in fact the hotel in general is really only to be used as a place to crash at night. However, the breakfast room also doubles as a bar for travelers who need some space beyond their rooms. With its excellent location and reasonable rates, this property draws all sorts of tourists and even the occasional businessperson.

For getting to sights farther afield, the Repubblica Metro station is a five-minute walk from the hotel, and Termini Station is a 10-minute walk away. Even for fans of green, it may be too much, as the shades aren't exactly complementary. Some rooms have small balconies with nice views of the square. Flat-screen TVs hang on the walls. Other amenities include air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, desks, safes, and mini-fridges by request. Compact white bathrooms offer small, wall-hung sinks, tiny tiled showers, hairdryers, and toiletries.
