Bottom Line

With 80 rooms, the mid-range Premier Inn Manchester - Salford Quays is one of the smaller hotels of Premier Inn chain in Manchester. It's in a quiet location outside the city center on the banks of the Irwell River, close to many theaters and MediaCityUK -- the city center city is within a 15-minute tram or drive. Like all hotels in the Premier Inn chain, a Quiet Time policy prevails from late evening to early morning, along with a “100 percent goodnight sleep guarantee” in which guests can claim a refund if they don't sleep well, subject to certain conditions. There are other mid-range hotels in the vicinity, but they do not beat the excellent value offered by the Premier Inn chain, especially if guests book nonrefundable rates online.

Premier Inn Manchester Salford Quays Hotel

Scene

Overlooks the Salford Quays, which is lovely in summer, and a good spot to watch or participate in water sports

Premier Inn Manchester - Salford Quays is in a pleasant riverside location that's about a 15-minute drive or tram ride to the city center. The hotel is close to many theaters, football and cricket venues, and museums, and it draws mainly couples and families, and business travelers too, who can take advantage of the chain's corporate perks. Housed in a red-brick building with large windows, the property sits on the edge of the Irwell River. Many of the guest rooms offer pleasant river views. The interiors are clean and modern, decorated in the chain’s trademark purple: There are purple carpets and wall panels in the public spaces, but it's a bit more subdued compared to the purple overload of guest rooms.
