Bottom Line

The three-pearl Best Western Seattle Airport Hotel offers a comfortable stay for travelers passing through nearby Sea-Tac Airport. It's located in a busy commercial area with no nearby restaurants, but the hotel offers a nice lineup of features. There's an on-site restaurant and bar and room service, a small indoor pool and fitness center, and ample freebies include a hot breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi throughout, and on-site parking. While its 137 guest rooms are slightly dated, all are clean and pleasant, with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges, but microwaves aren't standard. It's a solid choice for short stays, but for a step up travelers can consider the nearby Crowne Plaza Seattle Airport, which is closer to Sea-Tac but rates are typically higher and they don't include parking or breakfast.

Scene

A busy airport hotel that's popular with leisure travelers

This hotel caters to guests traveling to and from the nearby Sea-Tac Airport at all hours, so the lobby can be busy at any time. The on-site restaurant and bar has extended hours to accommodate late travelers, and there's a hot breakfast buffet that starts early for guests with early flights. Families are often seen making use of the pool and game room. While most guests are traveling for leisure, the hotel also attracts some business travelers.

Location

In a busy commercial area, a short drive from Sea-Tac International Airport

The Best Western is located in a busy commercial area on International Boulevard, which runs to Sea-Tac International Airport and its light rail station. It's roughly an eight-minute drive or shuttle ride away. There are other airport hotels and a coffee shop nearby, but little of interest within walking distance. Silver Dollar Casino is located on the same road, just a three-minute drive away. It’s approximately 20 minutes by car to reach downtown and Seattle’s cruise ship terminals, and roughly one hour by train.

Rooms

Clean and comfortable, with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi

There’s no denying that guest rooms at this older property feel a bit dated, but they're clean and comfortable, with pleasant, cheerful decor. Large windows bring in plenty of natural light, and some units even have small balconies. Standard Double Queens include small tables and dining chairs, and Standard Kings have desks with office chairs and oversize armchairs with matching ottomans. Deluxe Rooms (suites) are quite spacious, with sleeper sofas, wet bars, and microwaves. Standard rooms don’t have microwaves, but all units come equipped with flat-screen TVs, iHome alarm clocks, mini-fridges, coffeemakers with free Seattle's Best coffee, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms are basic and tidy, with shower/tub combos in Double Queens and small walk-in showers in Kings. Noise can be an issue with the hotel's location near a busy road and the airport, and views of the surrounding commercial area are uninspiring.

Features

Freebies include 24-hour shuttle, parking, breakfast, and Wi-Fi, plus a pool and gym

A free 24-hour airport shuttle that runs around the clock and free on-site parking are two great perks at this hotel. Park and fly packages are available, including free parking for up to seven days and reduced rates for longer-term parking. Another highlight is the free hot breakfast buffet, which starts extra-early for guests catching early-morning flights. A restaurant and bar (Boulevard Café) serves American classics like pizza, burgers, and salads, plus to-go items, and room service is available. There's also a 24-hour business center with two computers and a printer. For wellness, the heated indoor pool is on the small side, but it’s housed in a sunny space with skylights and there's a whirlpool, and while the gym is also small, four pieces of cardio equipment are available. Other amenities include a game room with air hockey, ping pong, and foosball, a guest laundry room with one washer/dryer, and valet dry cleaning and laundry service. Weekday newspapers are free, as is Wi-Fi throughout.
