Bottom Line

The 90-room, two-and-a-half-pearl Hampton Inn & Suites Springdale Zion National offers clean, comfortable and nicely decorated rooms with microwaves near Zion National Park. The park’s free shuttle stops right outside the hotel, and there's a free hot breakfast, a fitness center, and a large, heated outdoor pool. However, rates can be high for a Hampton Inn, especially during peak season, and the hotel often is full during those times. A viable alternative that might offer slightly lower rates is the La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Park/Springdale.

Hampton Inn & Suites Springdale

Scene

A busy yet calm hotel that blends in with its spectacular surroundings

This Hampton Inn outpost is a comfortable hotel that seamlessly handles the bustle of tourists exploring Zion’s wonders. The lobby complements its spectacular surroundings with natural stone columns, rustic-looking wood floors, and a “Welcome to Zion National Park” sign behind the wood reception desk. Large photos of the region’s landmarks grace the soft yellow walls and a flat-screen TV runs a continuous video guide to Zion. Massive, three-tier wood chandeliers hang above the long, marble top table that dominates the lobby’s two-story dining and sitting area. The lodge-like space is bright and open, with many seating options including a cozy corner nook with a coffee table, an upholstered sofa, and armchairs. Outdoor seating with great views is available, too. The spacious pool area is another popular gathering place and has a lovely gas fireplace framed by comfortable sofas and armchairs. It’s a busy place on a busy road, but calm and quiet nevertheless.
