The first impressions at this hotel are noteworthy, and immediately create an atmosphere that's refined. Inside, the polished cream floor leads to a black marble reception desk, which has a stunning backdrop of intricately carved wood stretching from the floor to the high ceiling. There are a number of gray contemporary-style sofas and armchairs along the length of the huge windows, allowing guests to sit and watch the activity on the street outside and the hotel's many water features. The hotel's common spaces resemble an atrium, and the abundance of greenery makes it feel worlds apart from the chaotic city just outside. There is also a beautiful indoor garden filled with native ornamental plants, as well as a large pond filled with colorful Koi fish. The hotel attracts a range of guests from well-heeled tourists to business travelers. 

The hotel is in a bustling area with a wide range of cafes, restaurants, shops, office buildings, and bars. It's a local-feeling neighborhood that's removed from most of the tourist locales in the city, which is either a good or bad thing depending on the traveler. The King Power Complex, popular for duty free shopping, is a four-minute walk away, as is Santiphap Park and the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum. Phaya Thai train station and the Victory Monument BTS Station are both a five minute walk, and the Victory Monument itself is a 10-minute walk. Despite these local sights, areas like Sukhumvit Road and Silom Road will require a cab ride to reach -- budget at least 30 minutes, though this is variable given the city's wicked traffic. Alternatively, the skytrain reaches both destinations in 15 and 30 minutes, respectively. Popular historic sights like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and The Giant Swing are not accessible by metro or skytrain, and will take around 20 to 30 minutes to reach by car, depending on road conditions. Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Don Mueang Airport are both a nominal 30-minute drive, though allow for at least double this. The express train to Suvarnabhumi Airport departs from Phaya Thai station, making trips to the airport without traffic in just 30 minutes.

The 366 guest rooms at the Pullman Bangkok King Power are available as Deluxe, Superior, or Executive Double and Twin Rooms, and there are extra-spacious Suites as well. Rooms are decorated in a modern Asian style, with contemporary, minimalist furniture with light wood veneer surfaces and accents in warm colors like copper and gold in the soft furnishings. Modern wall art of Asian flora and fauna hangs above the bed in fresh greens and yellows. The look is perfectly pleasant, but doesn't quite live up to the hotel's luxury claims, and doesn't really stand out in a city packed with high-design hotels. Still, some rooms do look out onto tranquil greenery, which makes them feel all the more removed from the city chaos of Bangkok. All rooms have air-conditioning, minibars, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Suites also have a living area, iPod docks, and Nespresso machines. The spacious cream-tiled bathrooms have contemporary fittings, with large walk-in showers and a spa bath. There's plenty of counter space and lovely bathrobes as well. Premium C.O. The property has a huge outdoor swimming pool that's beautifully designed and has different areas of shade and sun. An island in the center has some trees planted in it, and a wooden decked area has sun loungers and parasols for guests to use. There’s also a poolside bar. Treatments are available at the hotel’s spa, and a large fitness center has a wide range of modern equipment. Guests can dine at the Cuisine Unplugged restaurant, which is open daily for lunch and dinner. It serves an international buffet on weekdays and a seafood barbecue buffet on the weekends. The hotel's bar, Wine Pub, offers an extensive wine list of over 100 varieties, as well as cocktails and international food from tapas to classic French dishes. It also has live music playing regularly. Business guests can make use of the property’s 14 meeting rooms, the largest of which seats up to 550 people. Underground car parking is free, and there’s free Wi-Fi throughout the property too.
