Its location is ideal, in the heart of the city center (Pest side) and within walking distance to many attractions and entertainment. Scene

Modern hotel housed in a grand building with sophisticated decor

Set in an elegant building built in the 1860s, Prestige Hotel Budapest opened in 2015 as an upscale hotel with sophisticated and tasteful decor. There’s a mix of vintage and modern styles in the posh lobby set with glossy black floors, Swarovski chandeliers, a futuristic bean-shaped reception desk, and bronze velour IPE Cavalli couches and loveseats. The space is illuminated by a glass skylight and each of the six floors, guarded by a black railing, looks down upon the lobby. The hotel’s restaurant has a contemporary farmhouse style with wooden floors, a hanging garden wall, nutwood chairs and wooden tables, white booths, and wooden and padded walls. Most guests are couples, drawn to the hotel for its prime location and well-rated restaurant.

Location

Central location near the Danube River: near restaurants, attractions, and public transport

Prestige Hotel Budapest has a convenient and walkable location in Pest near the Danube River, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and small shops. It’s a seven-minute walk to the Soviet War Memorial and the Chain Bridge is nine minutes away on foot. The Shoes on the Danube memorial is a 10-minute walk, while Buda Castle takes 18 minutes to reach. Traveling around Budapest is easy via public transportation, and a bus stop is just a two-minute walk away; a metro stop takes seven minutes on foot to reach. Budapest Airport is a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Parking is available at the hotel, but requires a reservation in advance and costs a fee.

Rooms

Sophisticated rooms with flat-screen TVs, minibars, and Nespresso machines

The hotel’s 85 rooms are luxurious and elegant, with an upscale European vibe. They're decorated with plush, velour fabrics, wallpaper in subtle patterns, wooden floors, and chic furniture pieces like blue loveseats and armchairs. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, Nespresso coffee machines, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. Each room is provided with a spa bag with slippers and a towel to be used in the relaxation room. Suites have separate living rooms for additional lounging space. The posh tan and cream bathrooms are fairly spacious, with glass showers or bathtubs, vessel sinks, and a decent amount of counter space. Hairdryers and Damana toiletries are provided. Windows overlook street or interior hotel views, and guests have reported that rooms with interior views are plagued by noise from the lobby during early and late hours.

Features

Excellent dining in a Michelin-star restaurant, but reservations are encouraged -- even for breakfast

Prestige Hotel Budapest’s best feature is a foodie’s dream: Their on-site restaurant, Costes Downtown, received a Michelin star in 2015. It’s a pricey and popular restaurant, and reservations are recommended, even for breakfast. The meal isn't always included in room rates. Room service is offered 24 hours, but oddly, there's no on-site bar here.  The hotel's relaxation room features a hot tub, sauna, and shower, but it doesn’t offer spa services like massages or beauty treatments. There’s a small gym with four cardio machines and a set of dumbbells. For business travelers, there’s free Wi-Fi and a beautiful meeting room with gold accents and recessed ceilings. Transfers from the airport to the hotel, pets, and parking all cost extra fees.
