Hotel Sainte Jeanne

The Hotel Sainte Jeanne is an elegant boutique hotel and spa situated in a beautiful five-story building with a white facade, faux column accents, and windows finished with wrought-iron Juliet balconies. A central entryway sits between an outdoor eating area that makes up part of the hotel's restaurant. This spot is flanked by two arched structures, one of which is the hotel's own pastry and chocolate shop. The lobby is tiny, with little furniture beyond the two reception desks, but it does show off the hotel's elegant, French-inspired decor with marble floors, white walls, and a large candelabra-style chandelier light. One of the hotel's standout spots is the bar and lounge, which features a wood floor, a rich cherrywood bar, and armchair-style bar stools upholstered in brown leather and finished with bronze nailhead trim. The spa's Grecian-style indoor heated thermal pool is another standout, with a central ceiling mural, swan-shaped water jets and whirlpool nooks in the pool, and a tiled deck surrounded by striped lounge chairs with individual reading lights and headsets. Sophisticated and classy, this hotel is a hotspot for leisure travelers, and has a particular romantic appeal for couples. 

The hotel is situated on Guemes Street, a bustling and popular upscale shopping street in Mar del Plata with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops. The beach and main area near the casino is a 15-minute walk or five-minute drive away. It's about a 25-minute drive from Astor Piazzolla International Airport, a 15-minute drive from the bus terminal (Nueva Terminal Ómnibus Mar del Plata), and a four and a half-hour drive from Buenos Aires. 

Guest rooms are elegant and pristine, with a white and cream color palette and beautiful furniture inspired by classic French-Victorian pieces. Details such as white leathery tufted headboards and beautiful chandelier lights add sophistication. Rooms are comfortable, with soft linens, blackout drapes, and soundproofed windows. All include wardrobes, nightstands, desks, and chairs in addition to 37-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and CD/DVD players. Other features include Nespresso coffeemakers and minibars. While rooms are air-conditioned, there is no individual in-room temperature control. Turndown service (with chocolate) is provided every evening. White marble bathrooms have elegant details including candelabra-style sconce lighting. They feature bidets and walk-in showers. Robes, slippers, hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and individual toiletries are also provided. 

The hotel has a spa with massages and other treatments along with a sauna, a locker room, a small outdoor terrace with lounge chairs, and a tiny heated pool. A small fitness room is sparse but pleasant, offering modern cardio equipment, a weight bench, and a selection of dumbbells in a room with a wood floor, white walls, and a mirrored accent wall. The highlight of the spa is an indoor thermal pool with whirlpool nooks, swan-shaped water jets, and individual submerged massage chairs. Around the edge of the pool sit cushioned lounge chairs with individual reading lights and headphones attached to audio channels and movies. There's also a table with free fresh fruit, tea, and juice.

The hotel's restaurant -- L’ Epoque Bistro -- serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and features a stylish bar and lounge. Tea is also available in an outdoor sitting area. Breakfast is free and gets great feedback from guests, with items such as smoked salmon, cheese, cereal, and homemade pastries from the on-site Sainte Jeanne Pastry and Chocolate Shop (which also sells grab-and-go treats such as macarons and croissants). Room service is also available. 

A function room can accommodate up to 72 people and is available for meetings and events. Concierge and butler services and valet parking are also available. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an extra fee. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
