Travelers looking for a trendy hotel with an intimate boutique vibe and plenty of amenities will enjoy the four-pearl Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive. Like the 102 rooms, all spaces feature a modern design with trendy art pieces, clean lines, and stylish wooden furniture. Balconies and minibars are great perks to the rooms, but coffee lovers will be disappointed that rooms lack coffeemakers or kettles. The small beach has direct ocean access to a snorkel-friendly part of the sea from a boat dock with over-the-water beds and a trampoline. Two outdoor pools are great additions to the oceanfront location, but one is pretty dated. Even though all-inclusive features are plentiful from five restaurants to a small kids’ club, this property is still more couple-friendly than family-friendly. Sunscape Sabor Cozumel is more befitting of families with more family-style activities, like foam parties and karaoke.
Scene
Stylish all-inclusive resort with trendy and rustic areas
With its ultra-modern interior, Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive stands apart from some of the generic resorts of Cozumel. Most spaces are open-air but still sleek and cool, like the lobby which blends stark concrete floors with white fans and blue accents in benches and a lobby bar. Trendy woven hanging pods for seating and eco-chic wooden reception desks especially stand out. The same can be said of the beach, which has upscale wooden canopy beds with white bedding and a fun boat dock with a trampoline from where guests can jump straight into the water. The restaurants are a mix of rustic beach decor with wood elements and colorful paint to trendy open-air spaces with thatched roofs. Sleek indoor dining areas have black glossy floors that contrast with wooden tables and chairs. Other areas are a bit of a miss, like the main pool area, which is reportedly poor in maintenance with worn loungers or broken tiles. With such stylish spaces and only a handful of kid-friendly amenities, this hotel is most often visited by couples.
Location
18-minute drive south of San Miguel and four-minute drive from Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park
Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive has an oceanfront location that’s an 18-minute drive south of downtown San Miguel, which is filled with diverse dining and shopping options. Travelers who don’t want to leave the resort often are best suited to stay here as the closest restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away, and there’s not much in the area beyond other hotels. Chankanaab Beach Adventure Park is a four-minute drive from the property. It takes about 20 minutes by car to reach San Gervasio, the Mayan ruins on Cozumel. Cozumel International Airport is about a 20-minute drive away.
Rooms
Modern rooms with furnished balconies and minibars, though no coffeemakers
Rooms have tasteful, modern decor that features a mostly white color scheme with blue headboard and chair accents. Upscale wood furniture gives the rooms an eco-chic touch, while black and white abstract paintings and black globe lamps create an artsy vibe. All rooms are outfitted with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, minibars, and safes. They lack coffee- and tea-making facilities. The furnished balconies are lovely features, especially those with ocean views or terraces with private pools. Bathrooms are not completely separate from rooms, though that doesn’t seem to bother much guests. Spacious granite sinks and waterfall showerheads are lovely. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided.
Features
Best features include direct ocean access from fun boat dock, two pools, diverse all-inclusive dining options, and a spa
Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive’s portfolio of features caters to outdoor activities and all-inclusive dining. It offers a small beachy area, but rather than gradually leading into the ocean, it leads to a private boat dock with day beds over the water, a trampoline, and direct access to the ocean for swimming and snorkeling. There’s a beach bar for drinks in the beach area and an on-site dive center. Two outdoor pools are available, but while the lap pool is in good condition, the main pool with a swim-up bar could use a rehaul. Other leisure activities include a medium-sized gym with cardio and weight equipment, as well as a spa with a hot tub, steam baths, massages, and beauty treatments. As an all-inclusive hotel, there are plenty of dining options, which include a buffet restaurant, four restaurants with Mexican and international cuisine, and coffee bar. Though families can enjoy a kids’ club and daily and nightly activities, the atmosphere is more suited to couples and adults. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Parking is free.
