Roomers

Roomers is a seven-floor luxury hotel, part of the Design Hotels brand, with large tinted windows. Double black doors with the Roomers logo lead into the lobby, which has a large photograph plastered on the ceiling, dark-wood floors, plum-colored furnishings, and modern, silver-hued chairs that complement pops of metallic decor. Plush sofas offer more seating near a stylish glass fireplace. Hallways are lined in purple carpeting and doors are painted a metallic sheen. The elevator banks are circular and modern, and each has a small lounge.

The restaurant is decorated with plush booths and velvet black chairs. There’s also a banquet room with glass partition doors, a large black table, and a neon-lit bar. The Winter Garden, which seats up to 60 people, offers silver avant-garde furniture, fountains, greenery, and a vine-covered terrace for warmer months. The romantic bar has stylish tufted booths, a black lacquered bar, velvet stools, and gothic-style chandeliers.

The Roomers hotel is conveniently a five-minute walk from Frankfurt's central train station in an area filled with restaurants and cafes. The busy area is ideal for business travelers, with the Messe Frankfurt Torhaus conference center located 10 minutes away on the S-Bahn (tram). The Frankfurt Christmas Market (Weihnachtsmarkt) is 14 minutes away by U-Bahn (subway). It’s a 10-minute walk across the Main River to Frankfurt’s museums, including the Stadel, Museum Giersch, Liebieghaus, and Museum fur Kommunikation Frankfurt. The New Frankfurt Opera House is an eight-minute walk from the hotel, and the airport is a 10-minute drive away without traffic.

Roomers offers a range of air-conditioned rooms and suites decked out with dark-wood floors, velvet furniture, plum-hued textiles, and large windows with city views, although they feel a bit dark. All rooms come with slippers, bathrobes, umbrellas, digital safes, Nespresso machines, iPod docks, minibars, and flat-screen TVs. Elegant bathrooms have enclosed or semi-open glass showers and some have separate oval-shaped tubs next to the windows. Upgraded rooms have Nintendo Wii consoles. Suites are luxurious and have rotating flat-screen TVs, soaking tubs in separate rooms, heated towel racks, guest bathrooms, separate living rooms, and two minibars. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and throughout the property. 

The hotel’s chic and romantic wood-paneled spa offers panoramic Frankfurt city views and offers a range of treatments for solo guests and couples. It also offers five heated beds with glass beads, steam baths, a sauna, a hot tub, and two massage beds. The hotel's small gym has city views from large windows and offers modern cardio equipment, weights, and a supply of fresh towels. Three meeting spaces -- named the Buzz, Rumour, and Gossip -- are available with modern audiovisual equipment. Rooms can fit between 12 and 50 people, and offer large windows that bring in a lot of natural light. The Skylounge, available for private functions, provides panoramic views from soaring tall windows. Parking is available in a secured lot (for a fee), and guests can rent bicycles directly from the hotel, but the service is expensive.
