Bottom Line

The Fortune Park Boulevard is an upper-middle-range boutique business hotel located in an isolated area south of New Delhi that's still very much like a village despite being within city limits. It's far from attractions and businesses, but it does have on-site meeting and event spaces and it's near plenty of popular wedding venues, so those in town for a wedding might find it a reasonable choice. The 34 rooms are bright and contemporary, with lots of splashes of color in the decor and modern marble bathrooms. There's also a restaurant with buffet and a la carte options for all three meals, and breakfast is included in room rates. Travelers wanting to be closer to town may want to consider the more centrally located Vivanta by Taj - Ambassador instead.

Fortune Park Boulevard

Scene

Contemporary business hotel on sprawling lawns with retro 1970s-style interiors

The Fortune Park is a contemporary two-story hotel set on expansive, well-manicured lawns bordered by trees and shrubbery. The lobby is modern in a retro-1970s sort of way, with funky-shaped black faux-leather couches and large ceiling lamps in hues of gray and orange. A large chess set sits off to one side. The restaurant follows a similar decor scheme, with ample orange and gray in the carpets and furniture. There's no real reason for tourists to stay here, and it's only a good option for business travelers who have meetings in the immediate area, though its proximity to nearby wedding venues may make it a reasonable option for those in town for weddings.

Location

Isolated location away from most points of interest and inconvenient to nearby offices

The Fortune Park Boulevard is inconveniently located deep in an area known as Fatehpur Beri, a village on the outskirts of South Delhi and far from anything of interest for tourists or business travelers, though it is near a few popular wedding venues. The nearest point of interest is Chhattarpur Mandir Road, a strip of huge temples, a 15-minute drive away, but there's really nothing else of interest within the immediate area). Gurgaon, a major hub for corporate offices, is about a 45-minute drive from the hotel, so travelers who wanted access to both Gurgaon and Delhi could consider it as a base, though it's still pretty far away.

The hip Hauz Khas Village -- with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants -- is a half-hour drive away, while Connaught Place will take 45 minutes to reach by car. Getting to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Delhi's best-known Sikh temple, is also around a 45-minute drive. The UNESCO World Heritage Qutub Minar is a 20-minute drive from the hotel without traffic, and Humayan's Tomb, also a UNESCO site, takes around 45 minutes to reach. The sprawling Lodhi Gardens, full of Lodhi-era tombs and meandering paths, is a 30-minute drive away. The Lotus Temple is around a 40-minute car ride from the hotel.

Chandni Chowk -- the bustling market area near Old Delhi Railway Station -- is about an hour away by car, while it's a 45-minute drive to New Delhi Railway Station. Indira Gandhi International Airport is about 45 minutes away by car without traffic, but can take significantly longer during peak hours.
