Stylish urban hotel with an energetic vibe that draws leisure and business guests to rooftop deck
Montcalm Royal London House opened in 2016 in a historic building that once served as the office of the Royal Mail. While the exterior is stately and traditional, the interiors exude a fresh, design-forward feel that's more typical of modern London. The lobby is a mix of mid-century and contemporary elements and features white chairs, parquet floors, and Avant Garde light fixtures. One of the hotel’s bars showcases an industrial chic look with exposed ceiling pipes. The main restaurant is decked out in zigzag-print tables and orange, lime green, and violet furniture. Guests often mingle on the restaurant’s rooftop lounge, which offers views of the surrounding cityscape. The indoor pool and hot tub are set in an atmospheric low-lighted space with a deck and lounge chairs. The hotel draws leisure travelers to its energetic vibe, bold design, top-notch dining, and amenities-filled rooms, while business guests come for the meeting rooms and proximity to local tech companies.
