The 58-room Presidential Apartments are premium, self-contained, serviced apartments located between Kensington and Earl's Court in west-central London. Apartments are modern with fully-equipped kitchens, and many open to balconies or small courtyards (though some units are in the basement). There isn't much in the way of public areas or any restaurant or bar options on-site. "Presidential" might be a bit misleading, but overall they're a good value, and offer an upscale option central enough for most travelers -- especially those staying longer than a few days.
Scene
Apartment block set in row of Victorian townhouses, well-suited for longer stays
The privately-owned Presidential Apartments mini-chain dates back to 1972, though it was only in 2009 that this Kensington apartment block was added to the portfolio and its interiors fully modernized. The building is made up of a row of elegant Victorian townhouses typical of the area; facades are decorated with wrought iron railings and manicured potted shrubbery. Inside the lobby the look is smart and business-like, though the deep-pile carpeting, satin-effect drapery, and hallways feel every inch the residential apartment. An elevator, together with a grand staircase, services all six floors, which are dotted with black-and-white London themed photographs and the occasional antique bust. These upscale apartments tend to appeal to longer-stay business guests as well as families wanting self-catering accommodations.
Location
On the edge of well-heeled Kensington, a few minutes' walk from Earl's Court
The hotel is located on the fringes of the upscale neighborhood of Kensington, though nearer to the slightly more modest surrounds of pleasant Earl's Court -- Earl's Court Tube and its exhibition center are just a few minutes' walk away. London's most famous museums -- the Natural History, Science, and Victoria and Albert -- are a brisk 15-minute stroll away while the Paddington Station terminal, which connects directly to Heathrow Airport, is the same distance by cab. Off-street parking isn't available at the apartments.
Rooms
Smart, modern apartments with fully-equipped, granite-topped kitchens
The property has 58 apartments in total, all of which are decorated in smart, modern styling with Siberian oak flooring and American walnut fixtures. Air-conditioning comes standard, together with free high-speed Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs with DVD players (there is a DVD library at reception). All apartments include black granite-topped kitchens fully equipped with ovens, stovetops, fridges and freezers, washing machines, and kitchenware (most also include dishwashers). Some apartments open to balconies overlooking the street while others include furnished terraces or courtyards. The finish is generally good in the rooms, but some furnishings are beginning to show signs of wear.
Features
Extensive DVD library and food delivery service
As self-contained
apartments, there's little in the way of facilities beyond the rooms. However, the property does have an entry phone system and apartments are serviced daily.

delivery and laundry services are available.
